I like it - a very attacking change. In my opinion Tanaka has been poor apart from the goals so hopefully we aren't missing too much with the change. Also with CP supposedly playing 3 at the back it stops them having the numerical advantage if BA is buzzing around in a 10 type role.

Could backfire but shows good attacking intent.

In fairness to him, and like Cjay suggests, this could be his best position. He seems to have been shoehorned into positions but him being part of a midfield but with more of a free role and the license to carry the ball could bring the best out of him. I think it was West Ham where he broke with the ball and ran box to box before hitting the woodwork. I also think that if he was wanted by Bielsa that this is the sort of thing Bielsa had in mind for him (also think his plan for Dan James was central bringing the ball forward from our half at great speed).
