Personally I think if we don't get to see JP tried in a front 2 before he's probably sold its a shame.

He takes up good positions, he's sharp in the head and plays positive passes and can finish.

Imo he's technically the best striker we have.

I think he and DCL would compliment eachother very well whereas not so sure Nmecha/Okafor do.

If he is sold and this is his last chance he did well and imo showed maybe the not good enough tag is harsh

Agreed I think it’s a real shame he hasn’t been given a chance by Farke this season. no one can say he isn’t good enough when he has only been given a handful of minutes.

Earlier in the season he was very ineffective.... Offered nothing.
He came on today and had more space, fresh legs vs tired..... Doesn't mean he'd do the same from the start.

I'd like to give him a chance especially to wake nmecha/okafor up and push them.... But don't see him making the runs or competing for balls to be able to create/take chances.

To be fair everyone was shite v Arsenal (his last start IIRC) .. Everton in the first game of the season was 22 players playing tentitively.. again no one really played that well

Similar to Liverpool we were playing a team where traditionally we wouldn’t expect to get much but a shame given their recent performances and missing players not to get 3 points to really pull us away from 18th. Still it’s another on the pile, another unbeaten and realistically I can’t see West Ham or Burnley getting 30 points.

I think we will (if he stays this window) but not while we play the likes of Liverpool, Scum and Newcastle.

In theory, against lesser squads I think he will get a run out.

He doesn't have the physically to start imo. Can't hold onto the ball, so he will only be ok in games where we're are dominant and control the game. ( Rarities at this level for Leeds).

It's ok having him run around when he had Gnonto,DCL and Nmecha for company when both sides were just going for it.

But in a tough tactical battle he would be anonymous.

I don't think that is quite worth the risk.

Piroe is not close to being Leeds slowest player. Bijol wins that, Struijk probably second. Justin not quick either, Okafor is not "beat them on the outside" quick, probably closer to Dallas' pace as a winger than James

I felt we played well against Everton. Really took the game for them but without the end ball.

Plus they both might make another change and get a bit of new manager bounce. If we were to beat Burnley, Wolves and Forest, it'd make a big difference, but that's unlikely to happen I'd say.

Indeed. If they put 2 or 3 wins together it gives them momentum. All about whether we can keep picking up points and keep making it so that even if they close the gap it is by 2 points instead of 3 in any given set of fixtures. Looking at the table now then everyt eam 14th and above should comfortably get to 40 points so it is a 6 team battle with 2, Wolves and Burnley looking doomed.

Happy enough with the point. Joel could have nicked the 3 points though.
We never got to grips with Zirkzee.
We were short a few players but they were short way more starters and we got them at a good time.

Spot on! Either Darlow assumes the role or we bring in more competition in the window. He had no business leaving his spot on the goal he gave up as Bornauw had the area covered sufficiently. His distribution is woeful. Kicked it out of bounds to the right when he had Guds (or was it Pascal) wide open on the left (with no defenders nearby to threaten).

Perri is a good shot stopper, but some of his decisions are absolutely puzzling.

Nmecha is hardly Mr speedy though and Okafor is very fast but hasn't scored or created a goal for months.

Piroe may lack pace but he has vision and technical ability.

Difference between Nmecha getting the ball and Piroe was night and day

I expect Piroe sold this month and imo its a shame as he will be deemed not good enough for the Prem by many of our fans but I don't believe that's the case

I can't find Piroes running speed but Nmecha is averaging 28.56 km/h which for a guy his size ranks really well against similar forwards in the CL. I agree both aren't good enough and was baffled by the Okafor buy but happy with Nmecha on a free.... I just don't think Piroe's much better if at all at this level as he cannot win a header to save his life or get on the end of things to make his vision/technical ability count. Agreed on Piroe today.... So much more effect and would like to see him play as a sub instead of Nmecha/not coming on for DCL though... Against tired legs it negates his lack of pace a bit for me.

Piroe started the season leading the line and I think we were all pretty vocal that he wasn't at the races..... His stats back that up. Maybe a try in this new system behind Dcl could be a change that would suit. His finishing and passing is never in doubt.
