Reports that the rejected bid was £30mil plus add ons.

Have to say I wouldn't go higher.

I think that is fair (depending on the structure of course).

I hope he stays there and they lose a fortune on him when he departs in the summer, cos his value will deprecate significantly by then.

They'll get 20 if he's sold with them in the championship at most. Prem teams don't pay prem prices for Championship players

According to the beeb they were offered 50m in the summer, that being the case they will be kicking themselves now.

They were probably hoping he’d keep them up, hindsight & all that malarky

If they have rejected £33m plus add-ons as reported, I'd get the hell out of there pronto and not go back.

We are in a position where we are likely to have enough with the squad we have to maintain our PL status, and there will be other strikers available in the summer.

What's the point of overpaying in January and risking not hitting the PSR threshold in June?

Similar to Fulham, keeping hold of Wilson seems like a masterstroke now.

Graham Smyth suggesting Wolves leaked news of the bid to spark a bidding war, and thinks

a) there may be a relegation clause meaning they'll get less for him if they go down
b) they might get less for him in the Championship so are keen to maximise returns this month

I wouldn’t want us to offer more, thought our offer was more than fair if true.

It was an excellent offer and would take a bit of creative accounting to get it past PSR

Might be tongue in cheek but I think we were struggling to land players so blamed it on PSR... I think we had more to play with personally. There's still a substantial amount in the kitty imo, but it's a nice excuse

I hear Red Bull have no intention of buying the club out, they don't want a fanbase issue again. They like to rebrand any club they buy and they realise we're just too much hard work..

Way more than fair!!!
He was on the bench for them last week
Injury or poor form??
If because of poor form then given Wolves predicament in not playing him somewhat bizarre to me

Or they don't want to risk injury to a player on his way and/or distracted by transfer rumours

You may be right
He has hardly done much this season to help his sides plight and therefore his value lies with last seasons performances.
That always worries me
