Not Strand Larsen though. He hasn't pulled any trees up lately....maybe thats because of the poor team and service he gets at Wolves though. Mane from Wolves looks a player though ...bid for him I reckon

Wolves are in the mire but Larsen is that good he's on the bench

So you're a form over class guy? Form is very transitory

That's good news for us not bad. Likely on the bench as a move is coming, maybe not to us but I wouldn't risk an asset getting injured before we got big money for him nor would I like to start a player who's head is likely elsewhere..

If we're honestly considering offering that amount for him,in a January transfer window.
We need our heads examining.

Mane looks a very good footballer, Wolves fans highly rate him.

I wouldn't say there is enough evidence to suggest he is class. He has had 1 goodish season out of 2 in the prem and ismilarly in Spain. Can be argued that the guy at Fulham that you wrote off has just as much 'class.'The Subhuman wrote: ↑Sat Jan 24, 2026 2:22 pm So you're a form over class guy? Form is very transitory
Hard to really judge him. Could be good, could be a busted turd.

He scored as many goals in 1 season as DCL has in his last 3.weasel wrote: ↑Sat Jan 24, 2026 6:53 pm I wouldn't say there is enough evidence to suggest he is class. Imo it's just a case of is he better than DCL, Nmecha and Piroe? I'd say so.
At our level that's all we can ask of any signings, are they better than what we have

He (Larsen) has scored nearly as many goals in 1 season as he has done in over 1 1/2 given that he has only 1 league goal this season. Easy to cherry pick stats but his lack of goals this season is a concern to me. It can be argued that Wolves have been a poor team but equally if he'd scored say 5 goals then they probably would be doing better.
Plus you are comparing what Larsen has done for other clubs with what DCL has done at another club. We have found out that DCL can score goals for us albeit a small sample size. No guarantee that Larsen can do it in front of the ER crowd, do it with our players etc.
You then throw in his injury this season and wonder if this is the sign of things to come. You then throw in the amount of the transfer fee and it is a transfer we can't really accord to get wrong. For all DCL was a gamble it was a relatively low risk gamble in terms of finances (no transfer fee and even if his wages are high they wouldn't be that much higher than we'd likely pay Larsen).
I have however not seen anything of Larsen to judge ability wise but but the above concerns would exist even if I had seen him play and was thinking ability wise he was worth the gamble.

JSL played the second half against us at Molineux and our defence pocketed him iirc.
I don’t remember thinking he was a £55m striker.
