RIP John, a legend of the game and had many catchphrases that everybody knows him for, read his autobiography a few years ago....a great read

Great in The Godfather and the legendary line from Apocalypse Now "I love the smell of napalm in the morning".

Brilliant actor.
Probably best remembered as Tom Hagen in The Godfather but he had many great roles.

I only watched Lonesome Dove again a few weeks ago, he often cited it as his favourite part. He was great in everything he was in and was right up there with the best. RIP Robert.
