Newly promoted and edging closer to safety in the first season of the Premier League is huge for Leeds United. Just think of the past dramas we have had to put up with and as fans we know only to well how bad things can be. Lets bask in the sunshine and calm waters while we can. The big question is which team is going down with Wolves and Burnley? Its so close between Forest and West Ham but Spurs are also fimly in the mix. West Ham are a good side and it was massive blow when they couldn't beat Bournemouth at home. Forest were robbed at home to Liverpool when clearly the better side. So who is going to be?

When I watch all those teams around us, they seem to be struggling to find any cohesion or outsranding form, whereas we look like a steady mid-table Premier League club.

I think (hope) will be okay but very dangerous to be thinking we're safe already.
If we lose on Saturday it could all close up again and we're nervously looking over our shoulders.
However, after the City game, I think every game we have left, we have a realistic chance of getting something from the game.

I really don't see us going down for me it's
Burnley
Wolves
Forest
I think it will be really tough to see any of those teams coming straight back up imo.

We'll be fine Leon 8-)

I think it's only the top 6 and Bournemouth who have a better points tally than us from the last 6 matches.

What a load of old tosh that is....
A table full of stats telling us how difficult each remaining game is, if it was that easy to predict all the bookies would be cleaned out by Easter.
As for them narrowing it down to those five teams, just shows you how little these so called experts know....
We all know Leeds can f##k it up from here 🫣

Just kidding 😂

West Ham
Burnley
Wolves
Forest haven’t looked like a relegated team in their last few games and I reckon their 2 points with a better goal difference could decide it. Fully confident we’re safe and Spurs will find a way to stay up with the 4 points and far better goal difference but it’s a funny old game.

Indeed we will be fine, James.

We have one more point than 3rd placed Villa.

I still believe the next match we win & West Ham suffer a defeat in the same round of fixtures, that's the Hammers chance gone of catching us. Nine points & our better goal difference would be too big of an ask.

With every positive result the math gets easier for us. We are currently on 1.15 ppg for the season. Which means we can dip to 0.82 ppg and still reach 40 points for the season. But given our remaining schedule, I think we'll actually increase our points per game over the remaining 11 matches to something like 1.25 ppg. Which would see us finish with 45 points on the season.

I'm actually feeling pretty calm right now. However, that could all change if we get slammed by Man City on Saturday... :roflmao:

A damning verdict on Spurs survival chance.
As usual another well written piece by the SL.

How many points do Leeds United need to survive in the Premiership. Deep Thought The intergalactic supercomputer thought for less than a second and said 42.

And everybody scratched their heads and thought that is exact same answer that Deep Thought give to the question "what is the answer to life universe and everything"

It must be a glitch to give the same answer twice.

Spurs have a huge injury list with several of their players having no known date when they are likely to return.

It would do the soul good for one of the so called big 6 (or as I call them cheating snide Super League tossers) to actually suffer.

Relegation would give them a dose of reality.

Can't see it though

They have form though.
Very fortunate that they escaped the trapdoor last year and this years promoted teams are not nearly as incompetent.
I was actually surprised by their performance v Arse.
Could’ve expected something a bit more robust even if zero points. Was a pathetic white flag in the end.

It’s definitely not as far fetched as people think.
Can you imagine many Spurs players being up for a relegation battle.
