No clue
To be honest I thought Spurs would beat Palace but they were shockingly poor, that and our awful performance v Sunderland means at the moment you could probably perm one from four

Us. I just can’t see us improving if I’m honest. I’m feeling very down about it.

That was my way of thinking too.Johnthewhite wrote: ↑Fri Mar 06, 2026 9:25 am Gone with Forest as they have the extra games with Europe as do Spurs I know but Spurs have a good amount of quality to come back from injury whereas with Forest it is pretty much their best 11 now.

We tend to look at the games against teams at the top of the table and that will somehow decide our fate, but i believe that how we perform against the teams in the relegation zone will be the deciding factor.
Key fixtures between bottom six sides
22 March Spurs v Forest
10 April West Ham v Wolves
18 April Leeds v Wolves, Forest v Burnley
25 April Wolves v Spurs
2 May Leeds v Burnley
9 May Spurs v Leeds
24 May West Ham v Leeds, Burnley v Wolves
That gives the following breakdown.
Wolves: 4 games (vs West Ham, vs Leeds, vs Spurs, vs Burnley)
Leeds: 4 games (vs Wolves, vs Burnley, vs Spurs, vs West Ham)
Spurs: 3 games (vs Forest, vs Wolves, vs Leeds)
Burnley: 3 games (vs Forest, vs Leeds, vs Wolves)
Forest: 2 games (vs Spurs, vs Burnley)
West Ham: 2 games (vs Wolves, vs Leeds)
I suppose you can deduce Forrest an West Ham will be meeting stiffer opposition not in the relegation zone, or they might be playing teams that are safe and on the beach.
Wolves and Leeds on paper have the easier run in with 4 games each against clubs in the relegation zone.
But facts rarely influence teams fighting for their lives. We can analyse as much as we want but fate usually throws a spanner in the works.
Oh for the days of Pablo when we could throw a Spaniard in the works

DF needs to wake up and start playing 2 forwards as DCL cannot be expected to carry the forward line on his ownOrange Box wrote: ↑Fri Mar 06, 2026 11:38 am Us. I just can’t see us improving if I’m honest. I’m feeling very down about it.
Leeds need to bring in a midfielder who can score goals and a decent number 9 in Jan 2027.

I’m ok with the way we play, I think we have the right balance of defence and attack.
I’d love to play slick attacking football in general but atm not too bothered.
We created three good chances in the first hour v Man City but didn’t take them.
Sunderland was harder because of their tactics and we will probably face that set up a few times in the remainder of the season.
I feel if we become attack minded we’ll get caught out more and yes we might score more but we might easily concede as many - which is what WH, Forest and Spurs have been doing all season.
My dilemma is do we keep the Justin and Bogle combo down the right (which I quite like) or drop one of those two and go Struijk-Bijol-Rodon which means our central midfield and wing-backs play 10 yards further forward which would benefit DCL so he’s not as isolated. (Which I also like)

Leeds for me I'm sorry to say,its just what happens when you're a Leeds fan,and it doesn't help being a pessimist of course.
We'll probably end up with 40 points and be the only team to get relegated for 20 odd years too !

One game vs Sunderland we've run out of steam after our exertions against one of the best teams in the world, Man City.Overman wrote: ↑Fri Mar 06, 2026 10:52 am I'm really hoping it will be Spurs as I can't stand them tbh. However, I've gone for Leeds, I think we're starting to run out of steam at the worse possible time and the quality is just not there. This in part boils down to poor investment in January once again. We brought in an out of form player who can't get a game anywhere, totally illogical. I know people will harp on about 80mil worth of talent on the bench, but Farke clearly aint seeing it that way.
We had all this negativity after the Swansea/Luton games last season, and guess what, we went onto with oir final six games.

Crystal Palace could be the turning point ...again! ..Lose that and I might start thinking we could go down. We need to beat Norwich, we need a win

I think what concerns me is Forest and West Ham have attackers who walk into our first 11 all in good form now.
Gibbs-White has 5 or so goals in his last 10, Summerville is scoring for fun.
Alternatively our main attackers purple patch ended a while ago and DF hasn't really changed it up in that time.
Just seems happy to he functional
So that does concern me.
You look at the goals Jimmy and MGW scored the other day, would ours? Probably not.
That could be the difference in the end.
But I hope for Tottenham

It's us or Forest, imo.
I just can't envision West Ham or Spurs getting relegated.

Watching the midweek matches, I actually thought Forest performance was the best of the four teams involved in this relegation fight, was it a one-off, I sincerely hope so!
