I would be happy with a point this weekend.
West Ham are playing Citeh, and Spurs are away at Liverpool.
We just need to keep picking up a few points, and Spurs especially could implode under the relegation pressure.

Re: Crystal Palace pre match chat
I'd imagine he was "quite happy" as he knew he was covered at CB... Rodon is happiest and best playing centre of a back three, the only position Bijol can play. Justin is more of a natural right side CB in a three. Struijk, obviously, our only player that can play left sideJohnthewhite wrote: ↑Fri Mar 13, 2026 2:18 pm I thought that was a strange comment, maybe something lost in translation?
For me it's either or Bijol/Rodon, can't play both..I do think Justin and Struijk are must starts and I prefer Rodon over Bijol for the final place as Rodon has greater recovery pace. What we lose is Bijol's presence in the oppositions box... but we can bring him on if goals are needed
In a 4 then it's Rodon/Struijk

As well as having not won after they've played in Europe Palace have the 2nd worst home form in the league after the last 8 games.
Won 1, drew 2, lost 5
Really is no reason for the usual Mr cowardly away setup.

Re: Crystal Palace vs Leeds United Match Thread
To put that in context though Cjay, only Burnley and Wolves have worse away records than us. Won 1 Drawn 6 Lost 7 is pitiful and a fair reflection of how bad we are away from home. So, as much as we should be looking for a win, Palace will also see us as food and expect to win this match.
In the EPL home table Palace are only two places below us, but their away record is tremendous. I don't expect Palace will fear us, as our only away win was at Wolves and we are conceding an average of two goals per game away from home. I expect they will take the game to us.

Maybe Farke is keeping Glasner guessing regarding DCL

They've improved recently Palace, 10 points from last 6.
Could argue they've had easy fixtures generally bar one.
Brighton
Wolves
Manure
Spuds
Burnley
Forest.
But 5 of those teams have wins against us this season so can't be that easy.
So I'm sure they will see us same as we them, a winnable game.

Personally I wouldn't risk DCL.
Aside from the fact he's totally out of form I don't see why you'd risk a player with his injury record?

Re: Crystal Palace vs Leeds United Match Thread
If DCL is not fit then he should not be risked. We have other attacking options as evidenced in the Cup run.
This ultra cautious 9 defensive players approach has been disastrous, particularly away from home. Farke can see as good as us that one win and 28 goals conceded means that as well as not being able to win away from home, we also can't defend.
We need wins, home and away, to facilitate our EPL survival, and to keep the Cup run going. So, just sitting back and conceding two goals in a loss ain't gonna cut it.
If Farke changes things and takes a more positive approach them we can win. Sunderland was a perfect opportunity to do this, but he wasted that opportunity and lost at home to a team who profited from bonehead mistakes by Ampadu and Darlow.
I'm hoping he changes things up tomorrow and picks Perri, Tanaka and Gnonto. But I really doubt that he will do this. If he doesn't roll the dice then we'll end up in a position where he's forced to make changes in our last match at West Ham.
If we're going there having to win to stay up then I'd put money on West Ham to beat us.

All that matters is we gain points and not what style or system we play. Plus that's quite the insult for a manager who's being doing a great job for us from day one.
Is it possible you're attempting to set the tone that even if we stay up it wasn't done well or in the right way ? Because if so that's completely disrespectful not only to Farke but also to the whole squad who have been fighting hard all season to preserve our PL status.

If you were told at the start of December we would only lose one (unluckily) away game in the next 3 months , against 7 of the top 12 teams, including Liverpool, Chelsea and Villa. you wouldn't have believe it.
Our away form isn't as black as its being painted.

Yes, we were battered in our first away game of the season, we were so unlucky with the OG in the last minute at Fulham, however we've had two credible draws at Brentford & Chelsea (as you mentioned).
