I wonder if the wind had something to do with the pen miss, keep it low was probably the mantra and DCL over thought it, seemed to hit it clean

Three important defensive headers from DCL at set-pieces, a section of our fans won't have noticed the defensive work he puts in, they only remember the missed penalty.

Perhaps, the conditions were tricky during the game. The Subhuman wrote: ↑Sun Mar 15, 2026 4:47 pm I wonder if the wind had something to do with the pen miss, keep it low was probably the mantra and DCL over thought it, seemed to hit it clean
On a positive note it was great to see Ampadu was straight over to DCL after the miss to offer his support. Good captaincy.

Leeds United are the only team on record (since 2003-04) to have a player sent off in the first half and not concede a single shot on target in the same Premier League match.
And not even liked we simply parked the bus, we carried as much threat as them second half and you wouldn't have known we were a man light

For once I was glad Farke didn’t make unnecessary late subs, we never looked under pressure & could have thrown the point away. Yes we could have risked it all & gone for the win but a point in the circumstances was a good outcome. Other results seem to be going our way as well.

The team is fighting though, there is no-one bluffing their way.The Subhuman wrote: ↑Sun Mar 15, 2026 4:39 pm We're not playing well to be fair, don't think we've gone into games with the right starting line up a lot this season.. Bogle should have started for me, Aaronson shouldn't have. Nmecha and DCL don't compliment each other so wouldn't have started Nmecha. But the in game management was good from Farke ..
The Bogle Justin conundrum is a nice problem to have I suppose, but Justin is making himself hard to drop.
With Guds suspended will we see them both v Brentford?
Re Nmecha and DCL, its something a lot of us wanted to see,but yeah that is another issue for Farke to work on.

I don’t think it would’ve mattered who we picked, Palace seemed to be playing for a point from the start.Irish Ian wrote: ↑Sun Mar 15, 2026 5:04 pm The team is fighting though, there is no-one bluffing their way.

We have Brentford at home on Saturday, West Spam away to Villa and Spuds & Florist will take points off each other. A win would be massive for us.

DCL does seem to be channeling his inner Bamford at the moment. They're pretty similar really..ElKapitan wrote: ↑Sun Mar 15, 2026 4:11 pm Great effort but same again..... Not enough to make opportunities count. 5 games at least we've thrown through not taking tap ins etc.... This is what the extra cash on signings sort I guessEveryone misses a pen.... I'm not worried by that but dcl's mojo has dissapeared... Like his whole approach and end product/thinking has sunk. That pass back to their keeper late on sums it up. Remember asking an Everton fan what they thought of him. Said you've signed another Bamford and it really fits now. Got to get behind him though.... Hopefully its a blip.
Get a win.... And hopefully confidence comes back.

Justin played better when he was switched to the left after the red card, so I’d have no problem with there.Irish Ian wrote: ↑Sun Mar 15, 2026 5:04 pm The team is fighting though, there is no-one bluffing their way.

That might not always be the case but today it was, imo
