Cheers BB, only got a ticket very late on Friday for the Brentford game, so it was a mad rush to get everything all sorted. Thats the luck of the draw as they say, some games are good, some are bad. Its what being a true Leeds fan is all about, taking the rough with the smooth. But still getting behind the team regardless.Barlow Boy wrote: ↑Sun Mar 22, 2026 11:33 pm You’ll have to come over one day and tell us about it Greenie.

Not a lot of point to this forum then really is there..maybe a facebook group is the way to go... leave the forum to those who understand the meaning of forum. A space to debate all ideas and opinions. Not just toe a company line like Stepford wives
And this forum had plenty of bad things to say about Leeds/their players/ their managers back in the days of Bates/Cellino/Wise/Warnock/ and a whole host of players deemed not good enough. It got really toxic here during the days of Bates, in the end forcing off a great poster in White Riot (Steve) as he supported Bates and what he was doing so supported Leeds when no one else did

Naughty naughty.Cjay wrote: ↑Mon Mar 23, 2026 1:15 am Haven't twisted anything.
Said I felt we didn't play well (we didnt).
Felt we could have pushed Brentford harder as the home side at full strength whereas they were under strength and not in the best form.
Felt we again played it overly safe in terms of taking minimal risks same as Sunderland.
And left it very late to even try to change it up with James for Struijk but still kept the cautious style.
And I think the subs were wrong.
So yes I think Farke got it wrong vs Brentford overall.
Not twisted, said my opinion and why.
A point COULD be valuable but we won't know till the end of the season.
As for why people get so defensive of their opinions it's probably because they get called haters or have long droning unfunny waffle directed at them or have their opinions dismissed because they don't go to matches and aren't therefore a super fan.
We weren't at full strength we had GG ruled out. I would say playing a right footed player there made us not as strong. We also didn't have a fully fit Okafor as a starting option.
Brentford aren't in good form? Not exactly in bad form just 1 defeat in their last 8 league matches now. Maybe not won as many of those 8 as they would like but their results show they have been good at getting draws - which is what they got. Maybe they are just a side that are making themselves tough to beat of late. Maybe cos they have had a few injuries they have become more defensive of late.
How would you describe your feelings towards Farke? Maybe hate is a strong word, much overused these days, but you clearly have no respect for what he has achieved and you seize upon every opportunity to have a go at him. Any 'praise' is begrudgingly given and is usually along the lines of, 'She's not bad looking, for a fat lass.'

Hence my rating of 2/10 for Okafor, he was nowhere near fit & ready to play.White Riot wrote: ↑Mon Mar 23, 2026 2:37 pm He looked way fitter than Okafor Leon![]()
No way was Okafor fit to play in that match.
Gnonto and Piroe should have been on the pitch before him.

Re: Leeds United vs Brentford Match Thread
" While it is difficult to quantify an exact number, a significant portion of football fans—often estimated in surveys to be around two-thirds in top-flight football—express dissatisfaction or criticism towards their club. This criticism is frequently driven by concerns over club ownership, ticket pricing, and a perceived focus on global brand growth over local community interests.1964white wrote: ↑Mon Mar 23, 2026 7:59 am Our good friend across the road from us is a Hull City fan, she is passionate about her club & won't hear a bad word said about her team/players, even when results are not going well.
Proper football fans do not constantly slag their club off at any given moment.
Key Trends and Data in Fan Criticism:
Dissatisfaction with Management: A 2017 survey revealed that 68% of fans felt their club did not care about their views.
Online Sentiment: Modern football discourse is highly reactionary, with some clubs showing high negative sentiment on social platforms; for instance, a 2026 study showed Arsenal and Nottingham Forest supporters had 43% negative sentiment in online conversations.
Reasons for Criticism: Major drivers include high ticket prices, poor team performance, and, in some cases, the hiring of personnel involved in misconduct.
Protest and Feedback: Fans often use official supporters' groups, social media, and on-pitch protests (e.g., throwing items or walking out) to voice anger, such as in the 2023/24 season when Everton fans protested against a sponsorship deal.
Despite this, football fans are also noted for their high, often unwavering, loyalty, even while being critical of the team's direction or performance. "

Re: Leeds United vs Brentford Match Thread
I don’t mind some calling out of posters, banter and I don’t even mind been called a keyboard warrior and getting called out for pistols at dawn - It just made laugh and not because I was trying to elicit a maddening response.
Football is all about emotions some posters like to vent their emotions in posts during a game. I personally find a lot of it melodrama and tend to ignore it. What I generally find myself responding to in the moment is - I told you so posts - whilst conveniently forgetting the posts where they were a country mile off getting it anywhere near right. Which are often very frequent.
Oh and also labouring a point based on speculation rather than facts.
I enjoy a lot of what CJAY writes - I don’t agree with a proportion of it. But I respond in a civilised manner. But I acknowledge that I do on occasion respond to some posts with a snide remark or two. Most people do - just because one person is offended does not mean that everyone is. I do not post with the intention of offending anyone.
I also do not like posts where it is suggested people are trying to control the narrative - just because other people concur with certain responses.
It is a forum and anything goes as far as I am concerned, as long as it is civilised and not overtly crude or malicious.
