One wonders if Tanaka had been a regular, last 10, we wouldn't be safe already....

It was, but had Tanaka not tried to round the keeper the defender would not have gotten there. It's just another example of taking an extra touch. The top players take one touch. Do you think Haaland would've tried to round the keeper? No way...

Or if we'd tried to win football matches, rather than playing for draws

Cjay wrote: ↑Mon Apr 13, 2026 7:49 pm One of the best halves so far this season.

The occasional ploddyball moment but pleased DF seems ro have them going more direct and pressing high at times.

Tanaka, Bogle, been immense.

Guds going forward but he's struggled with Diallo.

Okafor with 2 great finishes.

DCL a nuisance but imo can't be missing from 6 yards.

Struijk the same.

Hope we don't come to regret the misses and don't go into our shell 2nd half.

Same approach 2nd half please

And subs will he important
I just looked at that chance again, he puts it in the right place, low the keeper just got a leg to it
If that was Darlow we would be saying it was a great save

2 goals from Okafor are you enjoying the taste of that humble pie?

Stand corrected then.

Looked like he just smashed it at the goalie to me.

Of course you ignore the comment from Cjay which I was responding to when he mentioned that " Okafor is made of biscuits. "

Cjay isn't the person being targeted by you two though is he ? Twats.

Would have loved the third goal. Tanaka has been outstanding today, hopefully he can get one in second half. We really need a third goal to feel comfortable.

And you also conveniently ignore me having called for Tanaka to start. Selective memory....

Loved the blunt half time summaries from Keane and carragher. Even Gary Neville on co comms being reasonably fair.

Great 1st half. Fully deserved. Now we need to ready for a 10 min onslaught and then get the third.
