Hhm. Newcastle played in black and white - was Waddle really a penguin but nobody noticed? Then when he went to Spurs did he paint his black bits white?
Ah well, this gives me an excellent segway into another interesting question - are a zebra's stripes black on white or white on black? OK, off you go then.

PSG's Joao Neves was sent off for pulling Marc Cucurella's hair in the 2025 Club World Cup Final played in the USA. That was a year ago. The rule is very clear that hair pulling is considered violent conduct, and is a Red Card offense.
I saw the play, and the slow motion replay of the incident from yesterday's game. I agree with the Referee 100% that was an intentional hair tug and a Red Card. Now, should DCL have been called for the forearm shiver he delivered to the defender's neck and face area? Probably! We've seen fouls given for less. But like so many cases in football, the referee only see's the reaction.
But is it a fair rule. A bald man may suggest he is discriminated against, unless they make slapping his head a sending off offence just to even things up.

I don't think Forest are safe at all ... slight favourites to go down for me but Spurs form has to get a lot better
Queue for the championship door
Wolves
Burnley
Spurs
Forest
West Ham
Leeds
It depends on how Forest fare at home to Burnley, if they win that game, Forest would be on 36 points, putting immense prssure on the London clubs below them, if Forest screw up, from then on they have a difficult run-in just as West Ham & Spurs have!
I have Spurs as favourites to go down!
Onto the championship, the Saints are still on an incredible run, and are in a position to nick automatic promotion off Ipswich.

Ploddyball is a neologism designed to infuriate and disparage at the same time. It is unsheathed when Farke plays his favourites. It is weilded when subs are made to late... when attacking subs are made instead of defensive. When one point per game is derided. When the formation is all wrong. When the team is threadbare, and the recruitment team are accused of being a failure, and no singings were made in January
To paraphrase Shakespeare... Ploddyball is dead, long live ploddyball.
It died at Old Trafford to a resounding chorus of Olé. As a barbed dart from the devil it has completely lost its power, made a mockery of when Leeds executed a training ground knockabout. You can't tell me we were not having a laugh.
You accuse us of playing ploddyball, well suck up this exhibition of high class ploddyball that sent the Manure fans ballistic.
It was a poetic statement a moment to be enjoyed as the manchester players ran around like headless chickens.
It was the ultimate humiliation as they rushed around chasing shadows.
Loved every minute of it! Was such a site to behold! If we can stay up, that will be the defining win of the season. Very, very happy that Farke was so daring with the lineup selection at the start and for it to come off so successfully. Credit to Farke for taking the tactical risk in this one.
I agree with the ploddyball conclusion you’ve made as it definitely conjures up images of the various irritations you cited. But I think most of it’s born from genuine concern for the ongoing success of our club, not some intent to demean board members. But perhaps my glasses are too rose-colored
Regardless, if it keeps us up, I’ll take ploddyball tactics the rest of the way. I think we still need 5-6 more points for my comfort level. Onward!! MOT!!

And me too, Joe.
It was a joy & so relaxing watching the whole game for a second time .

Slapping head would be a great thing to behold.
You nutmeg Mbeumo and as you go past a double head slap with a quick “got you baldy” in his shell like.
Red card a fair price to pay.
I declare my love for Saint Daniel and I can shoehorn him in to any conversation.
So good, I must watch the game for a third time.....
Two fabulous strikes from Okafor.
Chances created.
Brilliant goal saving defensive work from Dom & Justin.
Excellent defensive headers/clearances from Bijol, Struijk & Ampadu.
Decent saves from Darlow.
The running of Bogle, Gudmundsson & Aaronson.
Dom working his bollocks off offensively & defensively.
The subs coming on & playing their part.
Tanaka orchestrating the show.
Those 31 passes, reminded me of 1973.
Farke remaining calm as ever, whilst his pretender was throwing a proper wobble!
Oh, and those scum fans booing their heroes off the park after many watched the game in total dismay.

My dad once said “you may as well eat raspberries on the toilet” which with hindsight is where I should probably have watched that game.
young Manchester United fans after hearing that their team has lost 2-1 to Leeds.
