What they cannot do is suggest that they are ACA or ACCA qualified unless they have obtained certified registration with the applicable body. There are quite a few professionally recognised bodies, The Institute of Chartered Accountants which award the ACA is one of the top ones.
Do you have to be able to count to get one of those qualifications? (asking for a friend)

This is on the BBC football gossip page

Leeds United want to break their transfer record to sign Ivory Coast defender Ousmane Diomande from Sporting, with an offer of up to £35m and another £8m in add-ons. (Mirror)

Has there been a connection with this chap previously ? I have no idea who he is. Perhaps our resident talent scouts can assist.

Been linked for a while - does he play right or left in the back 2/3? Suggestion is that Pascal will go if Diomande comes in.

Just gossip atm but the itk say we see ourselves as favourite for Harry Wilson now and are keen on James Trafford and feel we have a chance.

Both could roll on though as neither player needs to rush.

Now, Trafford would be a superb signing.

As I’ve said elsewhere, I’d be breaking the bank for him. Superior keeper to what we have.

He played under Amorim for the majority of his Sporting time left side or middle of a back 3 apparently

New manager since Amorim used a back 4, right side.

But he had a few injuries last season so probably 70/30 back 3 since he joined.

Fully agree

Imo striker and goalies are the two positions you mustn't get wrong as the margin for error is 0.

Bad goalies concede goals bad strikers miss chances.

Right footed though so unless he's elite....

Struijk of course may want a move up but until we know that for sure 35M on an un-needed position when funds are tight under the new system, seems profligate

I remember Bijol "spent time playing left or middle of a three" In fact he seems more a bijol replacement than Struijk. I like the age though, we need to get younger or we'll have problems in a year or two.

One good season and he's suddenly Ronaldinho  Meanwhile we will let another talent slip through our clutches

Absolutely.

What a signing he would be, we don’t have many players what I call a “proper player’, but he would be straight into that category.

Really rate James Trafford.

Less thrilled by Wilson.

Wouldn't disagree, could all just be agent gossip anyway.

He doesn't play left side in a back 4 that's apparently certain.

I expect Struijk to go anyway though, he's a very decent psr sale so reckon he goes.

Data wise (sorry Sean) Diomande very much fits the progressive player type we've targeted since promotion.

And as you say his age is good, we are in danger of having an ageing team if we aren't careful.

Completely agree on both.

Really not fussed about Wilson either.

And he's old regime, one of the last. IMO Farke wanted to replace Struijk with Bijol last season but Bijol unable to play left side in a two.. It's why it's Bijol that comes off when we go 4 at the back when chasing games. Lets not try to shoe horn in another right footed left CB.. UNLESS this guy is that very very rare two sided defender, equally as good with his left as his right.

Still say Esteve should be our target .. one would hope they're looking that way, any halfway decent scouting would show them that

Well in the absence of any contract talks concerning Pascal, as things stand he will be on his way out. Does this Diomande have pace, because that would be a huge bonus, if we did sign him.

He is highly rated apparently - from what little I have read about him.

He is a good signing as a free agent IMO. With our budget getting experienced EPL players in for no fee is a massive plus. Particularly when you consider the number of fringe players likely to leave.

I get that, and completely understand on a free he’s seen as good value.

However, if it’s a straight choice of Wilson (and presumably high wages) or that money put into obtaining the services of Trafford, it’s a no brainer for me.

Trafford every time.

I very much doubt it is one or the other. From what I have read most of this window’s emphasis is on improving attacking options. If Farke doesn’t rate Perri which appears to be the case then another keeper also appears certain.
Incidentally, Marathe mentioned a wage structure- I doubt he will break it for Wilson.
