The argument is that they obtained a benefit as a result of breaching the rules as a result of which they obtained an unfair advantage which caused Leeds a loss . The quantification of that loss and the proportion of it that Leicester are liable for would have to be established by evidence and I suspect it would be well short of 100 million but not insignificant . The reality is the if the Everton /Burnley decision is upheld it would seem to be a very solid case and equally if that is overturned on appeal then the situation will be very different.

If the boot was on the other foot you can bet your house Leicester would be trying to stick it to Leeds, and wouldn’t feel even slightly embarrassed.

If we get nothing from it que sera, and we’ll find out long before things get too advanced if it’s likely or not.

So what is the argument exactly? "We missed out on a £100m, please give it to us." They'll just say, "well you've got promotion and stayed up anyway and made the money". All I see is nothing other than embarassment for pushing forward with this.
