This weekend Saturday Racing (18/07) will be a rare visit to the Curragh.

A 9 race card, with the first race off at 1.10pm

Maybe a controversial choice, however its an ideal racecard for each-way backers with six of the races featuring 8 runners or more, whereas the Newbury racecards only offers two decent each-way options.

The quality of racecard is much more pretigious featuring three Group races.

Also, Briitsh trainers are sending their horses to Ireland, with top jockeys such as Moore, Murphy, Doyle, Keane, Loughnane aboard.

Apologies all (especially Az, Nick and Evan - I'll sort the outstanding NAP results shortly) for recent low profile/no show, but as 64 suggested been a bit full on busy this last week.

Not enough hours in the day work wise, at the start of the week and then yesterday was Kate's (my younger daughter) university graduation ceremony......five full long years of a Medicine degree, so we now have a doctor in the family.

However, a graduation ceremony isn't what it was back in my day (mid 80s).....no, no, no it's half a week of events, parties (which we hosting on Thursday) etc etc..., so apologies, Ken that's why I didn't get the Saturday meeting posted up, as per usual.

Anyhow it was a lovely day and we are very proud of her. To be fair a Medicine degree from Cardiff Uni, was probably a harder slog than a Urban and Regional Planning Degree from Coventry Poly.......not that I'd ever admit that to her!!
