I met Kevin Keegan in 2018 when he did 'An evening with' at AFC Sudbury, my local football club at the time.
He was brilliant, telling stories about his football career linked to a PowerPoint presentation and afterwards he did a Q&A and photo session. His memory of incidents in individual games was incredible.
What a footballer he was, I remember his formidable partnership with John Toshack.

Yes I remember it well.
My mum once bought me some Kevin Keegan football boots with KK on the heel, I think they were by Stylo iirc, they had a white pointed stripe down the side, a bit like Nike.

But I suppose we can just be grateful we were able to follow them as fans.

I was too young for Gary Sobers, but I do recall really wanting to dislike Keegan as a kid - but couldnt. Great footballer and a credit to the game.

I think the thing that will always be in my mind with KK is the charity shield and his spat with Billy Bremner , they were both people that wanted to win . I think the actual culprit wasn't Billy but Johnny Giles but KK wasn't aware of that . KK always wore his heart on his sleeve ,back then he epitomized Liverpool on the pitch , yet he cost peanuts from Scunthorpe ....30k I think in a time where you were paying around 200k plus maybe for top players .....bargain was KK . Let's not forget English football for a few years was about Liverpool and Leeds , I think it's probably the fixture we always looked for first .
