I do not know who decides on the tactics but to open the batting with Moeen Ali (in the power play) and have Bairstow at four is to me madness. Also to have Revis bowling the last over was also brainless, not the lads fault we lost he should never have been placed in that position - had Hasan Ali bowled the last over we would have won.

The top team in each group qualifies directly for a home semi-final on Sunday August 16. The second and third teams play off in effective quarter-finals on Friday August 14, the second-placed teams at home, for the right to advance to the semis. The final will be played at Trent Bridge on Sunday September 20.

Tough start for Yorkshire against bogey side Hampshire. Lots of big names absent for both sides in this competition including Bairstow, Brook, Root, Revis and Rashid while Hampshire will be without Baker, Vince, Currie, Dawson, Jack, Lumsden, Mayes and Wood. They are all involved in the Hundred thing.
