It will do once the season starts. Presuming they just have to get other stuff in place and then make it completely safe for spectators so better to shut it for a couple of friendlies just to be certain. Stuff like the piling, for example, will need to be finished before they can tarmac over it so people can walk safely around the West Stand. Might even be scaffolding going up over the present West Stand in preparation for the building work to start.

For the season proper, yes. Every day of building is critical so it makes sense to have it closed preseason.

Exactly this. I made that point a couple of weeks back too. I'm visiting home in Wakefield and going to the Leipzig game Saturday. It's my only opportunity to see them this year and given they're playing decent opposition too.
