The thing is though that that is just looking at stats rather than how he fits into a team, what work he does off the ball etc. Liam Delap scored a decent amount for relegated Ipswich the season before.

It can often be a case that a striker can score goals in a poor team and that is all he does. Maybe if we'd have had Piroe as our starter last season he would have got double digit goals but we get relegated because the team doesn't work as well as a unit.

With us you may also have that Okafor say cuts in , backs himself and his quality, and shoots instead of passing to DCL. Maybe at Burnley the winger instead crosses to Flemming. So sometimes being in a poorer team can work to your advantage as you are the main man so everyone tried to create chances for you.

All ifs and buts etc but just that football teams shouldn't rely on just selected stats, Cjay style.
