Wharton to be an upgrade on Tanaka or Gruev but definitely to come in as a starter.

If Palace struggle this season, too early for me to suggest it will be the case despite their bad start, although they seem to be starting this season as they finished last season, which will worry their fans - it will be interesting to see how Wharton gets on. Even the most talented players would struggle to shine in a team devoid of confidence.

It would be great, but I do not expect a similar dominant display as per how we battered Newcastle, they had a good display mid week in Europe and their tails will be up.
