Gr8 News - good that the young lad is prepared to show loyality for the club that nurtured him. Smart chose Becks sticking with leeds united could well be your quickest route to playing in the Premiership....
Apparently (LeedsUtdMAD-News) the revised terms are a just reward for his form so far this season which saw Beckford score six times during the first two months of the League One season.
United are also on the verge of agreeing new deals with Jonathan Howson until 2010 and Robert Bayly, Scott Gardner and Ben Parker are all poised to extend their contracts until 2009.
Leeds have also been in contract negotiations with Tresor Kandol and both parties are understood to be on the verge of an agreement.

Leeds United striker Tresor Kandol is planning to accept the club's offer of a new contract.
Kandol today revealed that he intends to reach a fresh agreement after Leeds started discussions with his representatives over improved terms at Elland Road.
United approached Kandol and fellow striker Jermaine Beckford to re-negotiate their deals last month, despite the fact both players are tied to the club beyond the end of this season.
Kandol signed until June 2010 when he moved to Leeds from Barnet in January, while Beckford's contract runs until 2009, but they are set to be rewarded for their impressive goalscoring form this season.
Discussions are on-going, but Kandol said: "I don't see any reason for me to go anywhere. Things are working out well.
"Right now I think I've found the right club – a big club that's looking to move forward.
"If you had the choice, you'd always choose a club that was trying to win promotion, and trying to achieve things.
"This club looks after the players, and the manager does as well. I have an understanding with him (Dennis Wise), and that's the sort of thing that wants to make you stay.
"I don't want to go anywhere. I've moved around too much, and it's time to settle down. I want to get on with what I've got to do."

Makes Wiseys descision to play Hughesy at LB look totally confusing,after seeing the kid play on tuesday.
I have heard quite a few Leeds fans mention Parker in the past and just thought, he is only a kid give him a chance to improve a bit first.....BUT he is READY now - OK it was only Darlo, but he was exceptional...his positional sense and pace at both LB and CB were of the highest order and made a mockery of my original thoughts !!
I really cant understand why we need Clapham on loan when we have Parker having seen him now !!
