Anybody else see Brian Mawhinney is international special advisor to the NFL now?

With any luck, Maweenie will see to it that the Raiders are issued a two touchdown deduction in each of their first 4 games. He will also launch an investigation into the propriety of Al Davis' ownership arrangement.faaip wrote:Anybody else see Brian Mawhinney is international special advisor to the NFL now?

just about to post that, nice of him to leave them in the lurch if he goes which I'm not 100% convinced of.
Packers should now waltz through the division and are my picks for the Bowl and I like the Ravens from the AFC as the North rules the roost this year

Re: O/T: The NFL thread
Probably too early to get much insight; teams are more focused on who to cut and who to keep. However, it'll be interesting to see how the Skins begin to sort out their four RB glut with Portis, LJ, Fast Willie, and Ladell Betts.Johnny Utah wrote:Any pre-season friendly's you are looking forward to seeing ? Re: O/T: The NFL thread
well the Raiders D looked sharp, good news. Rookie end Houston got the the QB twice and is drawing the plaudits
the offensive line still seems a little shaky though...

Glen Coffee suddenly retires..now that leaves the 49ers perilously placed in the backs The injury ridden Gore is probably the only viable option left, what odds on Westbrook heading that way..Dixon looks poor, especially defensively,,and just as the Broncos snapped up Fargas too

Not a big fan of NFL but appreciate the passion Americans have for it. Has anyone watched the film Blind Side?
Very good film and based on the true story of Michael Oher. Sort of a rags to riches tale that you don't seem to get in football nowadays.

Re: O/T: The NFL thread
As a Niner fan, Coffee's departure doesn't concern me much. Granted, SF is thin in running game and, as you say, Gore is susceptible to injury. However, Coffee's paltry 2.7 yard average tells a story -- I personally prefer Michael Robinson as the back up. Wouldn't be surprised to see SF bring in a new back once the cuts begin. With two new OL (high draft picks), running game might get a boost regardless of who's carrying.faaip wrote:Glen Coffee suddenly retires..now that leaves the 49ers perilously placed in the backs The injury ridden Gore is probably the only viable option left, what odds on Westbrook heading that way..Dixon looks poor, especially defensively,,and just as the Broncos snapped up Fargas too

for the briefest of periods last season Coffee was the darling of the fantasy waiver wire...looks like he wants to complete his education..can't argue with thatPaulUSA wrote: As a Niner fan, Coffee's departure doesn't concern me much.
