If a player who's better than what we have at the moment becomes available, why not give him a go? costs nowt to trial.

Simon on LUTV this eve: "He's here obviously cos Snods knows him from West Ham - but he's here primarily to get his fitness back...he's been through a lot. Obvously we'll be assessing him...he's a good player..when he's back on form, we'll assess him again and see what we decide to do...he's a free agent (smiles!) who knows?"

At his best he's good enough. Just hope he gets back to his best.

His injuries were very very serious and amputation was muted at one point . It would be great if he could get back to where he was but it probably remains a long shot at best .

callum davenport is a decent player do not forget he was playing premier league football tottenham before his troubles off the pitch!! I agree naylor is too slow for this league, collins looks like he is getting better and better and bromby is ok but yet to see if he can cut it in the championship and as for bruce is he better than davenport?? Bring it on we might need cover as the season goes on

for the best, surely.. we didnt need more players! It was start to effect team morale
he might have been a good player, but i dont think he would have been much better than what we've got.. and i also think the issues in our defense at the moment are more a mental thing.. Things wernt going well at the end of last season, theyve got new fullbacks and a new goalkeeper.. and the first game of the campaign was a bit shakey... but there has been signs of it starting to tighten up. If you wipe out Nayls silly OG against Mill-scum then it's two clean sheets in a row..
I think if they can get another good result against Swansea, gain a bit more confidence, i can really see Schmiechel, Connolly, Collins, Naylor, and (preferably) Hughes forming a pretty solid back four.. certainly in the air, anyway...

He is still at Leeds, according to LUTV this evening. He just had a break "to sort some personal problems".
Or was that just a cutting remark from Simon?
