Re: Somma
Well - this is nice to know.
But with our stable 4-5-1 formation I can not see somma get the nod over becchio just now, and with paynter and mccormock eventaully returning from no mans land, i currently see a spell of inactivity from the big lad.
we are a fair while away from a constant 4-4-2 (unless you want barnsley and preston and cardiff scorelines again)

WE''RE LEEDS UNITED, WE''LL NEVER BE DEFEATED!
Paul Green was warnobs best signing.
If you disagree please send me a PM so we can get in to a fight.

Re: Somma
This is good news. He's not really best suited to the 4-5-1 we're currently playing, but it would've been gutting to lose him for nothing.

I can't see Somma being relegated to fourth choice...Emsley wrote:Well - this is nice to know.

What has Paynter done to warrant getting the nod ahead of him? The lad isn't proven outside league one (not saying he can't be prolific in this league, but Somma has proven he can score at this level).
What has McCormack done to warrant getting the nod ahead of him? Not a great deal. Though I think he is more of a second striker/winger, than a striker like Somma. So might be best comparing him to Snodgrass...
But either way, Somma signing a contract extension is a great thing for him and the club. Hopefully we'll see him starting in a Leeds shirt again soon, because he has certainly proven he is capable of scoring regularly at this level.
