I always feel Madeley, Reaney & Jones were the unsung heroes out of the great Revie first eleven
Great shout with Mick Bates, '64, definitely the unsung hero from the Revie team. Stood in whenever Bremner/Giles were "unavailable", ie serving a ban at Alan Hardakers' pleasure.

A shout also for Mervyn Day, - superb in Wilko's promotion team, but ousted the year after when John Lukic replaced him.

In moving up to more current times, Shaun Derry. Don't know if having him healthy would've prevented us from getting relegated though.

Chris Kamara.

Carlton Palmer also gets a lot of stick for his lack of ability but always gave his all for us.
