my thoughts exactlynormangunston wrote:Recently we've had a pretty effective policy of not announcing anything until it's done. Don't know about anyone else but last season there were several transfers that arrived completely out of left field for me, total surprises.
So I'm inclined to think this one aint going to happen. My more cynical point of view is that KB is throwing a few breadcrumbs to keep the club in the news.

Toby's sig is a bit premature, but if there was ever a time smith had a real chance to prove he is leeds - now would be it.

I can really see this happening now. The way Bates tried to make out that it was Grayson's idea of who to go for, then quickly discussed what wages Smith would be on.

Re: Alan Smith
One things for sure..if the Smith thing happens were just gonna have to swallow it..no point booing him is there? Also if he actually gets to pull the sacred white shirt again he'll do it knowing he has some serious bridges to build with the fans..this hopefully will manifest itself in some sublimely committed displays...would be nice to think we can make this a once in a lifetime show of forgiveness towards a once idolised part of the Leeds its family who has foolishly sipped from the devils cup.....I'll just go get my tin helmet!

Re: Alan Smith
IF he has the bottle to come back, which I doubt - he will get my support - as will any other player we may sign for Leeds United. However, his two fingered gesture to the Leeds fans will cast a shadow that will not be easy for him to reconcile with those fans who were there.mchldavies7 wrote:One things for sure..if the Smith thing happens were just gonna have to swallow it..no point booing him is there? Not really sure where I stand on a pissible return of Smith. But I'll believe it when happens. Until then, it's just the usual bollox of the summer.

The new smilie symbol seems perfectly suited for this thread...
Like Doc said..."If he's good enough..."...but it's hard to believe he's good enough (fit enough) at this stage. Time to move on to obligatory rumours of Woodgate, K*well, and Bowyer
Helplessly hoping

Every night i go to bed looking at this wall... (That's the FA Cup winning side off to the right
)

I would give ANYTHING to have smudger back at Leeds...
I'm almost certain that it wont happen, because normally if something seems too good to be true it is, but my GOD would i be happy if he did come home..

Just popped over to W****E to have a look at what they're saying about the potential of Smith coming back to Leeds. Jesus. I had to close my browser in disgust. There's some narrow-minded, bigoted, ignorant, infantile muppets over there.
