Since we seem to be doing our hierarchy of favourites, I'll add my two cents:

LEEDS UNITED

NY Yankees (born into it)
Detroit Red Wings (from my time in school)
SF 49ers (wife and I lived there in the 80s)
St. Lawrence Univ. hockey (my alma mater)
Georgetown Univ basketball (my DC team)
Detroit Pistons (school again)
DC United (my distant second club)
Virginia lacrosse (my daughter's school)
Univ. of Arkansas football (dates back to their rivalry w/ UTexas)

who knows perhaps this also explains Wierd Al's decisions...gotta be in it to win it...

Hampshire is a woody triangular appendage to the south, noted for it's sea food....no wait that's tasmania...where am I thinking of?

I do ............however........

Leeds United, first-foremost-always

Green Bay Packers, second: Grew up most of my life in Wisconsin, so it's hard not to become enamored with the Green and Gold (thank f**k they don't wear red). Many fond memories of Sunday afternoon Packer games through the 70's-80's (very lean years) and 90's. Once the internet came, I was then able to actually follow my beloved Leeds in real time, not waiting for weeks/months old newspapers to show up in my local library. The GB fans are second only to Leeds fans. The team ownership structure is to be admired and followed by others. Link below on the ownership model...

Much to my amazement and consternation, Hampshire CCC turns out to be a cricket club....down by Southampton somewhere. Since cricket defies comprehension in my eyes, I must quietly delete it from my list. Harry never told me that Tasmania has great seafood...does Hampshire?

As a Southerner, will you go to the Southampton match on Saturday? (And don't give that 'I never go to any games' mullarkey.)

Mr. USA?...did I win a pageant?

Lymphoma...I hope not. I went through that with my wife when we were first married, and while...err, whilst, it's often quite treatable, it does involve a good bit of chemo pain and suffering.

When the NFL condenses the off-season into a couple weeks, weird transactions seem to take place. I figured Denver was committed to Tebow -- given my apathy to details, I think I'm going to need your consulting service to get me ready for my draft. What's your fee, Mr. NFL? 8-)

I'm not going Saturday.

Paul "USA"....is not a surname?

he's back at practice ...I blame a certain Jets fan for this mis-information

certainly what do you need to know...and it's gratis to a fellow Leeds fan obviously..

I annually go into my draft with a self-prepared depth chart at the various positions. I'll try to explain our rules, then send you a copy of my depth chartfor your perusal and jeers. Fantasy Football knowledge is intellectual property in my book and deserves proper compensation (doled out by the pint).

big news!!

MOT Raiders finally tops the league...after a poor start 2-3 and 4-4, The Raiders (12-5) sneaked ahead of bitter rivals Camden Yard Birds, after 8 wins in the last 9. Yard Birds (11-6) relinquish the lead after losing to Sugar Land Beers (9-8), manager F.D.Oaid said "it gives us the imputus now to push on to the playoffs..." One game now seperates all three playoff canditates (LA Dodgers 11-6) in LA league west....LA league east has the look of the NFC west with the leading team there one game over .500

On a side note The Raiders currently have Yadier Molina and Jared Weaver suspended, and Daniel Murphy is done for the season, manager F.D.Oaid said "It's a big blow losing Daniel, but we'll be looking to free agent market to replace him. Jared out for 6 games, we've bought in edwin jackson from the Bullpen. Yadier is due back Tuesday
Go MOT

Go Raiders

Keep up the good work!

Speaking of the Camden Yard Birds, I'm going to Camden Yards tonight to see the Orioles play the White Sox. Any players you need me to light a fire under or cool down? :bang:

No problems re: Jared 6 games = one start. He'll come back fresh.

Strasburg pitched his first live action game at Class A Hagerstown yesterday. Struck out 4 of 8 batters he faced -- gave up an opposite field HR to a busher, but let's ignore that. All reports said that the velocity, the sharp breaking stuff -- it was all there. The prodigy is back!

Off on another field, Michael Bush re-enlisted with the swashbucklers. Good to have him signed and ready for duty.

I'm up against Carlos Quintin, Adam Jones and Johnny Danks tonight ....so a big Oriels win wouldn't go amiss, I'd even settle for Adam Jones hitting a couple of homers...have a good evening

Bush resigning is good news, Boss and Hagen signed from the Giants also..though I doubt Hagen will make the final squad. Shillens and Murphy to start but Ford and Moore to contibute as well, Moore and McClain drawing all the nods of approval in camp with Moore consistantly burning Routt...not sure what that implies

another MOT win last week sees them open a two game gap on their rivals with The Yard Birds and Dodgers both losing

tighter this week, scoring seems to be at a premium and the games are close in all four important matches

as an aside would anybody fance a game of Fantasy Football?..

I'm currently 13-0 on Madden with Tampa Bay. With my fantastic scrambling QB work, we're confident for the playoffs.

Minnesota, Green Bay and Denver tried their best to stop me. They failed.

Congratulations on your growing gap! (That was weird to say)

Please define Fantasy Football.

Now, I must stop communicating with you as there is a 49ers/Raiders game this weekend. (We have Daunte Culpepper in camp; can things be any worse?)
