Getting rid of Beckford and Gradel was a big mistake - they sparked a bit of life into the team. We look totally dead now.

Re: Leeds vs Blackpool Teams etc....
How long before we hear Batesy giving Simon the dreaded, "voted of confidence"? Normally I'd say this is just a one-off failure, happens to the best of team and managers. But this seems much different and more serious. Love Larry, but needs to get this under control, fast, quick and in a bluddy hurry.

Of course, you know what will happen - it will be the usual "we let in silly goals, make mistakes and we have to address these" and then go on to the next game and do exactly the same

I wasn't able to get to the game or listen to it, one questions was Lees red card warranted ?

I have checked enough channels now to guess I am not dreaming! I am guessing that the performance was as horrible as the score suggests?
I know a manager can only do so much and there is that line about being helpless once the players cross the white line (which I do not particularly buy), but you really have to ask is the preparation for a game as good as it can/should be.

Sent off for handling the ball or stopping a goal scoring opportunity, which was caused by a Rachubka mistake... something along them lines but it was warranted.Velotrax wrote:I wasn't able to get to the game or listen to it, one questions was Lees red card warranted ?
Just looking at stats on bbc sport, Blackpool had 76% possession. We had only 5 attempts. That is somewhat pathetic...

Fair enough, so he also added to our downfall, niot looking for scapegoat etc, just wondered what happened, as it hadn't been mentioned on hereCSA wrote:

We've been tolerating this 'defending' for years, and enough is enough.
When was the last time you felt confident that we could deal with a corner?
When was the last time we were a goal up and you thought right, we can see this out, tighten up at the back and grind out the result.
Every time the ball goes anywhere near our box i fear the absolute worst. Whether it's O'dear V Cardiff, or Chubby V Cov, Blackpool etc, Lees V Hull (only young so less to blame) or Paddy, O'brian etc etc..... they are all capable of complete and utter F ups, and considering there is no unity or cohesion between them, they quite often get caught out when the f up.
Absolute nonsense. Ross had it right after the Brighton game when he said we have to score 3 just to draw. all well and good (sort of) when we are scoring plenty, but when happens when the goals dry up? bam, serious trouble

Quite simply Gino they were up for it we weren't, utter embarrassment the coaches/manager need to take a long hard look at this and learn,Gino 1959 wrote:I have checked enough channels now to guess I am not dreaming! I am guessing that the performance was as horrible as the score suggests?

I still do - but he was rattled this eve. Changed his mind about the 3rd sub 3 times in as many minutes! He wore out the 4th official's electronic scoreboard!Tommy Rose wrote:In Simon we trust, now who have i heard say that before???
Sam on for Ross - nope hang on! Sam on for Pugh...oh sorry - Mika on for Clayton.
Should have been Mika starting instead of that waste of space Howson - and Kis/Conno to be Captain.
This team has some great players, but with a wuss as captain, they were never going to be motivated at 1-0 down and Lees sent off.
Nayls would have kicked us up and got a draw. Howson couldn't kick start a pissup in a brewery.
OK - when your keeper is a bagowank, motivation is difficult to inspire. However, it is a captain's job to do just that and as Eddie said post game "we needed a Captain out there at 1-0 down...the one we had went missing"...AGAIN.
A good kick up the arse tonight. One that has been coming. We will learn and move on. Hopefully with a REAL Captain.

Re: Leeds vs Blackpool Teams etc....
Simon takes a lot of the blame tonight for persisting with a goalkeeper who we can all see is rubbish, but once again, it is Paul Rachubka that has let us and his team mates down.
Before Lonergan got injured things were really looking up. Our settled back 5 (including the goalkeeper) had kept a couple of clean sheets and we were on a good run, so all is not lost once we get that back 5 together again..
If we can just get Sunday over and done with, hopefully a 1-1 draw or something (not confident)... then after the international break we'll have EVERYONE back, including Lonergan...
REMEMBER! It was almost exactly 12 months ago (within the week) that we were beaten 4-0 at ER by Cardiff, and we then went on a 15 game unbeaten streak, and we were 16th on 17 points back then... we're now 10th with 22 points.. and i still believe we have a better side now then we did back then..
