Simon dropped the bomb at the end of his post-match interview that Andy O'Brien refused to play for the club again on Friday.

He refused to play again, or he refused to play ever again?

sackable offence, cancel his contract.

That's a disgrace . Why did he refuse to play ? Phil Hay says the WHU interest could be a factor but says that's just speculating . Get him out of the club as soon as possible .

Think he said "ever again", but might have heard it wrong.

Completely stunned by this. Sounds really odd behaviour, especially from an experienced pro like O'B.

Absolutely stupid decision. Even if he wants out then surely better to begetting matches and showcasing his ability. Transfer list him or offer to west ham for a price. The main thing is to not let him out on afree.

He has one good game and thinks he is too good to play for Leeds united? Well good luck to him. If JB ended us back at team in a worse position then god knows where o brien will end up...Yeovil or Brentford maybe,?

Hope all who deserve it get punished appropriately

Sounds like Alladyce wants to sign as many ex-Bolton players as possible!

Should all fit nicely into the famed West Ham way of playing

By all accounts he didn't want to play against lcfc but SG talked him into it, SG informed him he intended to start today on Fri but he said he didn't want to travel or ever play for LUFC again.

IMO he's got a lot of talent but he's a gutless player he engineered a move to LUFC from notlob used baadiff to get a better offer from us when he had no intention of going anywhere other than LUFC as he didn't want to move. He played well for his contract but once signed he just coasts. He's probably been tapped by whu & offered 20K+ pw plus they'll probably let him commute down on the train which was never an option for baadiff even if they offered better wages.

Put him on garden leave & sue to ruin + if there is any proof that who/allardyce have tapped him up go after both of them, terminating his contract even for cause is a win for him as he'll have a job tomorrow, send a real message to anyone who comes to LUFC you better play for the shirt while your under contract.

you can't stick someone on suspension without pay indefinitely, and he costs too much to be allowed to rot in the reserves.

According to radio 5 live he has refused to play again for Grayson who he regards as a terrible manager . He hasn't refused to play for Leeds . Not sure what the difference is . He has to go .

oh yes you can or you can take legal action, you can keep fining him, If it was me I'd make him sit in the middle of the kop for every home game & with our fans every away game plus schedule a public LUFC event every week with the fans & make him attend if he refuses fine him a weeks wages & see him in court

The source is a reporter with close links to whu & allardyce totally coincidental of course!

What a shock  Boils my blood that one of our players has refused to play for Leeds United. I dont care what the reason is. Its times like this Im glad Ken Bates is our chairman, I expect him to ruin this creep. This will do two things to the squad, destroy team spirit or it will bring all the players together, and with the two recent results I would think its bringing them together.
This guy is a low life and I hope he gets no luck in the rest of his career. Im so bloody angry!!

Watching the game today, I did notice a lot of bad body language from our lads today. Especially Keogh and Ross when subbed off - and the lack of communication in general in the team.
Now this news has broken, I suppose it is understandable - especially when your captain is "waiting to see if we are going up", before signing a new contract.
O'B's actions show him to be a hypocrite, after his "need to pull together" comments in the YEP this week.

Never a dull moment being a Leeds fan, eh?

Andy O'Brien bears an uncanny resemblance to my old girlfriend's genatalia.
