Jaysus. I opened this thread thinking he had been appointed manager at ER. Never expected to read what I just have. This is so tragic and beyond comprehension. Again - puts everything else into perspective. I hope he has found peace. RIP.

OMG reports now saying it was suicide I am in shock we will remember you as Leeds and not a barcoder. Gary was doing so well in his job as Welsh Manager.

Stunning news. I remember him as one of the symbols of our emergence from the dark years of Div 2 at the end if the eighties.
It puts some other postings on here (on other topics) into perspective.
This is tragic for family and close associates.
I would imagine it would hit SG quite hard given the long standing link.
This event is one of those regular reminders to us fans to remember that the participants in pro football are people and not just targets for us to vent upon when our frustrations with the progress of our beloved team get beyond reasonable limits.
