Still, its not quite the end of January yet - so lets hope more fans now tear up their season ticket renewal forms. Im seriously debating whether to bother going to Elland Road now. It breaks my heart and with my health problems its the only thing which has kept me going but I will be buggered if Im going waste my money and time with a team of no hopers.

Im gutted, feel so much like crying now. Bates has ruined my one love and reason for being - Leeds United.

We are financially in serious trouble as the old goat budgeted 25k attendances. His actions have consequently has led to fans drifting away,we have lost on average 3000 @ £30 per game so we are desperate to recover monies in for our best players

Grayson's not profiting,just getting his managers wage,But you can bet your Bollox that Bates is, with how clouded our finances/accounts are we'll never know the true figure that he has creamed from us,not forgetting the rent he gets from ER and TA.

Whenever he's been interviewed in the past year or so he's always stated that he wants to play at the highest level. They've been trying to iron out contract for months now and it's quite apparent that Johnny was biding his time, waiting to see where we were and if we were in contention, which right now we're not, then maybe he'd sign, if not, he'd bugger off somewhere else.

It also says as much on the official site as drsdad.

As has been discussed so many times in recent years, loyalty, unfortunately doesn't come into it, if you got the opportunity to double/treble your salary, you'd jump at the chance. Simple economics.

With half the transfer window left I'd really like to see Bates/Grayson make excuses as to why we've not reinvested this and Gradel's transfer money. If Jonny was reportedly on the highest wages, then that must free up a bit more for negotiations, so I expect we'll get Aidy, Snoddy and Clayton tied down to longer deals by the end of the week.

Christ, what with you guys on here and the mob over at WACCOE, I've seen some ridiculous over-reactions today.

The reaction isn't just about the sale of a player though is it, it's about the perceived ambition at the club. Every window we have let go of decent players, most of them to fairly average teams who would spark much enthusiasm.

The worst thing for me is I thought we might be getting somewhere at the start of this season. A good young team, plenty of youngsters coming through but we are selling all the best ones off. Can you really see us keeping hold of White, Lees, Snodgrass?

I've read people saying we're showing a lack of ambition, when the facts are quite simple: Johnny is at a crossroads and chose the Premier league path as we're showing no signs of going up this season.

I've read people saying we're about to go into administration when Leeds are probably as financially secure as they've ever been.

It's all getting a bit tedious to be honest.

Not at all, just be given the money to spend when we sell a player . . We got 2.5m from Gradel and Schmeichel this summer.

How do you know that? Did you see the last set of accounts?

We made a small profit based on player sales and are very tightly budgeted over the next few years based on expected ticket sales etc.

Call me naive but I believe Ken when he says the club is being run a correct and proper way.

As for the re-investment of monies, Simon has shown throughout his managerial career that he likes to work using the loan market, so it's quite feasible that this is his own policy rather than the club's.

Best news I've had all year!!! 1 OK game and 1 great game in 10 isn't good enough. We need to improve our squad, but getting rid of him is a great bit of news. You cant build a team around someone who isn't versatile and doesn't give enough week in, week out. 2 million for an inconsistent player, who is out of contract in the summer and doesn't want to stay is a great deal. For once I will say 'Well done Mr Bates!!!'

Yeah, Paul Lambert must be clueless.
