Off line poll:

Leon has no idea what pop music is

Yes or no? :duno:

Just pished off at blatantly obvious pop music nominations being classed as "alternative rock" in these polls. Bazza backs me up with my World Party nomination.
Leon will place the Monkees and the Archies as "alternative rock" - beyond a joke now...

No he won't !

I have the album & have been playing it in the car again today, it is a soft-rock orientated album, shades of the Rolling Stones on one track

Bollox - Way down Now was voted as a contender for "Best POP Song" of that year, you silly old fool. Leon! Sorry, but I'm betting you will class the monkees and the archies in poll one, when their years come around. Searchers will become "alternative rock", or "soft rock" along with the Small Faces??? :duno: That categorisation wasn't even invented then - there was just POP or ROCK mate.
POP POP POP Leon

Soft rock??? WTF is that? :roflmao: It is ROCK or it is POP. No such thing as "soft rock" - contradictory terminology. Rock by definition can NOT be SOFT.

Ah, 1990. The year I graduated.

I spent three months revising for finals with 2 CDs on rotation, they became so familiar, playing quietly in the background that they masked the outside noises and helped me concentrate.

One is still one of my favourite albums.

Poll 1

Suzanne Vega - Days of Open Hand

French Frith Kaiser Thompson - Invisible Means

Poll 2

Steve Earle - The Hard Way

Fairport Convention - The Five Seasons

June Tabor and The Oyster Band - Freedom and Rain
