No, its not a piss take, it is a true story, Iv'e told it often on here, but obviously, not everyone has heard it. My Grandad was a service manager at Ringways back in the 70's. whenever Don Revie brought his car in for service / repair etc my grandad would arrange a courtesy car. If none were available he would chauffeur him around fro the day until his was ready. Being very close to him I always spent as much time as I could with him. He used to let me go there in the school hols and I spent a lot of time there. On more than one occasion I was there when DR came to the garage. He'd get his car and leave. However, one time there wasn't a car ready, so my Grandad drove him, me included, after my grandad asked permisson and DR was ever such a nice bloke. He tried talking to me, but on that occasion my gob was trailing the floor.Wolfetoneleeds wrote: Is that a true post armley?

On another occasion he came in and we took him to ER. He politely asked my grandad if we could take him home as he had forgot some papers. We drove to the Alwoodley area of leeds and was going to wait for him in the car. He was having none of it and invited us in. Elsie Revie made my grandad a pot of tea and I had some milk and a few biccies.
That was repeated a few times and on one occasion Bill Bremner was already there. Again, my gob was wide open, but what a great man. Made fun of me and acted silly. He was like my grandad in so many ways. We gave them all a lift to the stadium.
On school hols, we used to go to ER on our bikes. As the training ground was right outside, where the car park is nowadays, You could watch the players. When they broke for a few min I used to shout and ask billy to come see my mates. He never turned me down. My mates thought I was god![]()
My auntie now has the letter of condolence from BB for my grandad when he died.

Dunno where you are coming from, Zero? His son is yes called Billy Bremner.MeeTa wrote:Statistically speaking, there is great probability that there is more than one billy bremner.
