I think Ricky lambert will be the best striker to buy and will probably cost £2m

Ricky Lambert, nah too old will be losing his pace and that's not what I would want in a front man.

I think we could do worse than Jermaine Beckford. Makail-Smith would be a better option though.

That's the problem we can't have who we want... No guarantee of alot of money there for us (press conference)

They said no silly money will be spent. "We can have who we want" is a bit of an exaggeration. They also confirmed that "no unreasonable request will be turned down". From what we've seen so far we can expect to get the striker that Warnock wants in January. I imagine it'll be Lambert or Beckford or Makail-Smith. Maynard was bandied about in the summer, too.

Maybe Lambert a few years back or Grant Holt. However, looking to the future, Boyd/CMS would be great buys and I think lift the whole club. I personally would love a creative CMF to drive us forward given we have enough defensive midfielders to cover.

Holt is too similar to Becchio. If we're going to move forward we need more variety in the squad.

As much as I would love JB back, one thing worries me about he's return to ER.

Seems to me that the best thing about the current LUFC team is the never say die team spirit and therefore would the signing of a guy on substantially higher wages than any other player upset the apple cart ?
NW has said himself we have no big time Charlie's so would JB coming back cause issues ?

How about Philipp Hosiner from Austria Wien,scored 15 league goals in 13 games and is only 23.doesnt sound like a big team so shouldn't command a big transfer fee
