Re: Poleon recalled by Redfearn
In my opinion for what its worth White has been garbage and Warnock should be left back. One goal against Everton does not make him a good player. Poor defensively, poor attacking options, poor decisions and just never has control of the ball when running. If Colin would of been the one to sign White he would of been slagged to death!
But like i said its my opinion for what its worth.
My fully fit and available team after a few hits on the crack pipe would be.
Ashdown
Peltier Pearce Lees Warnock
Byram Green Tongue Hall
McCormack Morrison
Kenny
White
Austin
Dawson
Poleon
Brown
Diouf

Had a look on sheff forums and they really don't rate him at all, he was being played as a winger not forward though.

Danny Wilson had a lot if positive things to say about him but also said he had a lot to learn. I'd have been tempted to leave him at the Blunts for the rest of the season but Redfearn probably knows the player better than anyone...Blakerb-LUFC wrote:Had a look on sheff forums and they really don't rate him at all, he was being played as a winger not forward though.

I know Redders was pished off when warnock sent Dom out on loan - and the U.21's haven't done that well since then.

Re: Poleon recalled by Redfearn
A central pairing of green and austin would be my choice, with hall really needed.
If hall does play our attack looks like it might all be about whipping crosses in. Moggy and ross aint exactly those types of CF's.
We will need byram moved up and pelts to take up his right back slot, but pearce and lees at centre back does worry me, as pelts might be slight sqaure peg but he does have pace and it is essential at CB.
Redafurr has some serious s**t coming his way and he will have to use his subs effectively and be able to change it round.
Jesus, the team is like a lottery machine at any moment during the match, no wonder warcok couldnt get it to work there is no one set up that compliments the team.
With lees out here is how I would stack it up and this honestly the best formation i could come up with.
I'd play a 4-1-3-2
Paddy
Byram pelts pearce Warnock
Austin
Green Norris tongue.
Mcormack
Moggy.
The back 5 with austin mopping up and working as the engine.
Green norris and tonge have to work as a solid unit, Id play narrow with the ball and aim for the heart with ross in the hole playing to CF been told to drop deep, first one to long ball when it could of been passed gets subbed and a jab in the back of the head. Theroy is through balls from the three middy's for ross and hopefully moggy finishing off. It will require passing, and retaining the ball, but dont know if these lads can do that this soon after warnob coaching headless chicken crap into them. It's imperative that the LB and RB get to the half way line to support the midddys and help retain posession. Id have them playing mixed passing but the aim is the heart of their goal mouth not the wings.
Without the ball it all comes down to a high pressing game and putting in some hard tackles, slightly vulnerable on the wing but took in to account that we have really good quality in byram and warnock, it would be up to green (who has high work rate) and tounge to get back and cover some serious ground.
I do believe if we play hall we are really exposing our self and thats why warnock kept picking this bunch of players only trouble was that he high balled instead of keeping it on the deck casue it might of just worked.

I can't keep up with this informed football debate. Can someone please summarise this for those of us who don't have an inherent knowledge of the game?Twiggster wrote:

Off to be warnocks toilet paper licking his arse as usual. Eff off to cornwall with their bum chum, both of them. And take Morison with them. All three better tractor drivers than footballers.

Re: Poleon recalled by Redfearn
I stand by my formation.
He wont do that like but it's how I would go about it.
if we are a team full of CMs then that would be the best way to use them.
Tonge and norris are a weak link.
Ross's movement and moggys finishing is used correctly.
The full backs, green and thong would feel this formation the most on a fitness scale.
I call it "The fist" it goes down the middle!
Austin in his normal anchor role, with nothing fancy will work.
