Not really no, the best songs end up at top and the worst at the bottom as shown today. Danish song was the best, and it won with ease.

Anyone who thinks it's about the music really needs to wake up..it's nothing more these days than a contest to see who can be the least crap..the songs nearer the top were just less sh!t than the ones as you work youre way down...ahhh..how the uk pines now for such melodic masterpieces as Lulu's 'Boom banga bang' and Katrina and the waves 'love shine a sh!te'....they'd nail it now with songs of that ilk....(btw...anyone know if that wwf wrestling is real?...i think it might be fixed ya know)

Less shite, best song....whatever, You have a song that noticeably more shite then the rest you'll be at the bottom, so ultimately the quality of the song a nation sends will determine where it ends up. Most of the music that is posted on the music discussion thread i find horrendous and shite, so music is subjective thank god. And some enjoy the eurovision music.

I would rather eat my own s**t than watch the Eurovision...... never heard a good song from it ever. throwaway pop nonsense of the highest order. I might have got a bit of a kick when I was a nipper (below 10?) but it has always been terrible. its a waste of the bbc's money even showing it, hope we never win again cos it costs more to host...

saturday night tv is bad.....

they put up the price of beer, we cant afford to go out, we have to stay in, no more video shops, Britain has NO talent, even the wife wants boxing back on and leeds on match of the day.

saturday used to be a mans day, world of sport, pub, leeds, pub, miss world, boxing, match of the day, Emmanuel/French film, wake up on brown velour settee with some spooky kid looking at you with an even spookier puppet, bed

Or maybe i didn't like it when it first assaulted my ear drums in the 90's..when i was still in my twenties? Im sure it entails much musical skill to produce a enduring catchy techno track?.. but to me it's just noise.(no offence like)

As i said music is subjective, and to me the things posted on the music thread is noise that ruins my ear drums.

Fair enough MeeTa...that's why i dont go on the music thread...because i know i'll end up with people telling me they dont like stuff like the 'Doves'or the Smiths..and yet try and snob you out with their love for 'slipknot' or something..just cant be arsed, you know? Were all wired up to hear things differently
