Eddie would have known there was going to be a city asian da day.

Feel sorry for any that do not get re-employed but on the whole, another slice of Bates' removed.

I hope you a right. They have made some good moves, the best being getting shot of Bates. I am not convinced yet that they have the funds coming in to dig us out of the dire mess Bates has left us in.

I've got the same reservations. But IF you can get the team playing AND you actually invest whatever you do have back into the team and not numerous other diversionary kak, Leeds United as a club will take off, it really will.

I'm sure Thom and Eddie will continue to do the commentary via LUTV

It's the rest of the staff who will have to find new employment - good luck to them.

Not as fortunate as you, who - if sacked from Spurverton Radio - would just walk into a job at Everpur Radio

Never really understood how Radio Anna worked - if it was linked to Radio Yorkshire or not. So I ask if this closure of RY spells the end of Radio Anna, and if so, to VLR streams.....or will we now pick up the BBC stream? Further, will BBC radio be readily-accessible to remote, geographically-challenged beggars like me or will I need to continue to pick up the stream from a local? Bottom Line: Will Yanks be reliant on LUTV to ensure we have independent access to audio streams of our games?
Helplessly hoping

Simple answer: we'll use Radio Leeds. Nothing will change.

Thom's tweets suggest that is the end for him and LUFC, re media. :(

I'm gutted for the bloke. His passion for LUFC during the commentaries will be VERY hard to replace, whoever takes over the live commentary.

Good Luck Thom

Fry is LUTV director, so I guess he will still be at LUFC.

Looked on my files and google and can't find it - it was Thom who made the "5 games, 15 points back - two fingers to the football league" comments on YR?? :duno:

Wouldn't surprise me. Thom really wears his heart on his sleeve when it comes to Leeds United

My ideal commentary for our games would be Thom, with Norman Hunter as colourman!
