Kebe & Stewart
These 2 have got to be the worst signing since Mr Brolin, they offer exactly nothing between them. I hope Leeds have kept the receipts because Im pretty sure under the trades description act they are not fit for purpose as they were brought in as footballers which they clearly are not.

I could have told BM to leave Stewart alone, unfortunately I think he has committed him to a three year contract when he completes his loan period, yet more money wasted by one of our managers. The conveyor belt of average players continues !
Kebe was awful yesterday, just hope we don't offer him more than his loan deal

We were warned off Stewart by opposing fans ffs! Kebe was always hit and miss. Seems more miss than hit these days. I love how we always seem to pick up players past their prime- and give them lengthy contracts!

We haven't off loaded Warnock's deadwood yet,but we seem to be already starting to build up the next batch with Stewart.

There is a certain inevitability when you have no money to spend that you end up with rubbish.

We still waste whatever we have. One moment we need wingers and the next moment we have three. Why spend limited resources on three average wingers. Bring in one good one.Guildford White wrote:There is a certain inevitability when you have no money to spend that you end up with rubbish.

Average wingers cost wages which we can't afford to pay. So why add to expenses for no return.Guildford White wrote:

Re: Kebe & Stewart
Gboly probably costs very little, Brian knows Kebe well of course, and although he hasn't done much yet he can be very good on his day. I agree though that Stewart is a mystery - why did we need him when we were getting Kebe at the same time?HarryofOz wrote:

Re: Kebe & Stewart
Jeez let's write everr single player off after 4 or 5 games. FFS get a grip - it take's time for new players to get to know their teammates playing style, how they like to receive the ball, how they like to give the ball etc. We've changed the formation twice in recent weeks and it takes time for players to adapt.
Such short-termism. Let's sack the manager, lets sack all the players. Messi was too small, Ronaldo dives too much and always tries the same trick, Bale can't cut it etc. At least let the player have a chance to show what they can do.

Re: Kebe & Stewart
McCormack would have been turfed out long ago if we hadn't have given him any time. Heck even as recent as summer 2013 people were saying that he wasn't a 20 goal a season striker, and now he's second to Suarez in the whole football league in a very average team.
I hadn't high expectations for an immediate impact from Stewart and Kebe. Neither were getting regular games and they were coming to a team that hadn't worked with wingers for years. I suspect others had higher expectations of Hazard and Bale remakes cutting it in from the wings, taking on everyone and dipping it over the keeper.
I actually think Stewart has potential as he looked to take on players. Kebe falls over too easily, but that's a trait that can be amended easily. I realise everybody has an outlet for their frustration at not winning games, but look at it from a statistical point of view, none if this "Leeds aren't we" ballix...
Middlesborough are a mid table team like us. They haven't scored in 6 games, and have a solid defence record. Do people genuinely think we are really at the stage where we have the creativity to go on and win a game like that solidly. It was always going to be a chess game, where the better tactics would pay off with a 1-0 win at best.

Re: Kebe & Stewart
Stop making excuses everyone!!
Who cares if our season has been roadblocked by TOMA and its consequences? Who cares if we have warnock's pathetic signings in the team every week? Sack them and get in world beaters! This is LEEDS, FFS!
Leeds fans want CL football next season and multi zillion pound players to watch and Jose at least, as manager - RIGHT NOW, do you hear me, Cellino/Toryboy?

Re: Kebe & Stewart
I agree with Weasel and theleedsmango on this one,
if we have this attitude with all players coming into the club then players like, beckford, snoddy, McCormack, Becchio would have never turned out the players they were when they hit their peak for LUFC.
i understand its frustrating especially when you spend you hard earned cash on going to games and the need to vent the frustration is massive especially over recent months but slamming players after only a handful of games is pointless in my opinion.

Re: Kebe & Stewart
The same thing was said about Christiano Ronaldo until his breakout season at OT. Lots of fans would have sold him prior to that season as just another player with a few tricks but no end product. Yes Stewart is unlikely to ever reach that level but give him time to develop and he may turn into a decent player.1964white wrote:Stewart does step overs and works tirelessly to seek out cul-de-sacs

Hull City season-ticket holders know the score as my local pals over here did forewarn me about Stewart's capabilities & so far they are bang on with their assessmentsweasel wrote:

Re: Kebe & Stewart
I haven't criticized Stewart anywhere, think he's improved since I saw him last but he shouldn't be starting yet. Kebe showed flashes, I think he settles down and becomes a nice player for us ..but I think he goes back if we don't get promoted?...
the two up front is wrong, especially if we're playing the two wingers, it's a little lightweight through the middle

Re: Kebe & Stewart
Kebe in my opinion doesn't want to be at the club, Stewart started poor but in glimpses he has shown some good patches. He will be a good use of sub next year but at the moment not at a standard we deserve to be watching at ER
