How many times has he played this season? It's not like sending someone like Zac Thompson or David Norris out on loan. That would not be a surprise at all as neither have had a look in. Peltier has been a consistent fixture in the team this season. To send him out on loan today (if the rumour is true), the same day that Cellino's takeover bid has been vetoed by the FL, smacks of more than Byram being first choice RB. As Faaip says, I sense an impending fire sale.mav wrote:
He was a regular covering Byram yes. Not going to get into the side any time soon I think.

Peltier going out must be a cost cutting exercise - we don't have another recognised RB in the squad, do we? Would be terrible management to leave ourselves without cover for one of the positions only filled by someone who's struggled for fitness this season...

It's easy to go to the most cynical way of looking at things, but Peltier going to Forest as soon as Warnock turns up seems to be too much of a coincidence for me. Warnock will be interested in signing his ex-players, and if he wants Tonge, Brown and co, then I'll be pleased to see them off the wage bill. Yes we may not have back up for Byram, but Tom Lees could play there if he's injured or we could look at the development squad, with Thompson or Coyle who are also RBs.

Defensively Peltier has been better than Byram this season !Durly wrote:

Another rumour doing the rounds in the Kop yesterday was that the reason Peltier was shipped out with such determination and speed was that he, and 4 or 5 other players were caught out drinking into the early hours of the day we played Burnley away. Obviously I have no idea if there is any truth in it, if so, why only Pelts???

Looks like Lionel Messi might be available in the summer.
We could offer Noel Hunt in part exchange I guess
