He (lufctales) has been outed as a fake and a wind up merchant, by those who know - ignore this tweeter.

As for Cellino - he has the best "spiel" of any owner we've ever had since Liesdale...but my jury is still out on him, until he actually delivers

If this apparent passion and the promises that go along with it are shown to be matched in reality (by the quality of players signed, Elland Road actually repurchased, results on the pitch) then I'll be very happy, but until that happens I'll take it all with a pinch of salt. In the back of my mind I'm always thinking about the police report that was quoted saying Cellino was a man who would say anything to get his way.

Time will tell - hopefully positively because it could be great fun!

Wouldn't say animosity. Skeptical. And I think the majority of users on here are either positive or neutral towards him.

I've pledged from the start to only judge him by his actions so this interview means little (Mr Bates could throw in 'Leeds, Leeds, Leeds' in an interview, wouldn't make a world of difference). After all, Cellino has said he wouldn't sell McCormack and he would buy back ER as soon as he owned the club.

So what has he done?

He practically stole £5m from Fulham when he sold McCormack. Exceptional bargaining as he knew Fulham were aware we didn't need to sell him. When you see players like Demba Ba go for half the price, you realise how good of a deal it was, if you didn't already. It also sends out a warning alert to clubs looking to steal our assets in the future; they aren't going cheap anymore.

He stood up to GFH and got debt ridden off. I don't know the ins and outs but I reckon GFH knew there was a whole lot of trouble if Cellino took them on and knew they wouldn't win. Good to have someone on board who can do this. His persona just screams "Wanna mess with me? Cool, I've been waiting..>"

With regards to signings; I'll wait until a few games in. I think he is a brilliant chairman, and I'm glad we finally have someone who has money, balls, passion and experience. Deadly combination, emphasis inadvertently on the 'deadly'.
As a manager? Again, I'll wait until a few games in to see how this unfolds on the pitch. I'm a man of results and actions. So far Cellino has ticked some seriously required boxes as Chariman. However, only a fool would start using Cellino's potential to lay in yet another dig at a previous manager. End of the season, if we're in playoffs, then Cellino has worked in his managerial role.

I would be happy just to see an improvement on our performances and a move uptowards the right end of the table, i wouldnt be too upset if we missed out on the playoffs id be happy to finish inside the top 10. Given the fact a large portion of this team is new to the league and the players are new to each other will take a litle time to gel.

Anything above and beyond is an added bonus.

We were in playoffs last Christmas before the takeover and payment saga [don't mention it, it never happened] messed the club up. That was with what many were touting as the worst team ever and a [terrible,passionless,clueless??] manager. We've lost our best player and a lot of deadwood. Yes it takes time for players to gel but the majority of our better players will still be here - Murphy, Pearce, Byram, Warnock, Mowatt, Smith, Austin. If we improve but we finish mid table again - do these players move on, we get more players in, need time to gel etc etc.

You know how many people have come here asking to buy this club in the last 40 days? Four. Big companies. I told them I wouldn’t sell for 100 billion. They said ‘for 1 billion, you will.’

We are expected to believe that suddenly 4 companies have offered a billion for Leeds when nobody would touch us with the proverbial bargepole for years, and that Cellino turned them down?

A businessman who has invested - let's be generous and include hidden debts - £50 Million is offered £1,000,000,000 4 months later and decides not to take the profit?

I just find it slightly odd that I have reservations about Cellino's promises and I get branded negative, skeptical and just short of picking up first place at the Worst Fan ever award. Yet the positivity was just floating around when Austin was branded the worst player in the league, McDermott the worst manager, and Ross, who was scoring goals which is what we tend to like watching, was overrated and ruining everybody else's tactical prowess just by being on the pitch. And it goes back further past Fat Kenny, barndoor Becchio and everybody's neighbourhood zero Howson and on and on.

While not a great player by any means, Austin is one of our better players. Who knows, perhaps without Ross-tactic-destroying-McCormack's presence on the pitch and Brian-tactically-inept-McDermott shouting from the sidelines, Austin will become the next Yaya.

I think Cellino is being painted with the brush of past failures. All the years of Bates and GFH have made pessimists of us all.

Whatever else may be said of Cellino, he has a vision and is determined to see it through. You have to know what you want to do before you set out to do it. I never got the feeling that previous management had any idea they knew what they wanted to get done (apart from enriching themselves, that is).

So rather than say I'll reserve judgment until Cellino shows he deserves our trust, I'll take the opposite view and say I'll be enthusiastic about Cellino until he shows he's undeserving.
