FT: The lads played three 20 minute halves. The golds won 3-1 with Morison, Austin and Hunt the scorers. Smith scored for the whites

Twitter fans won't know what to make of this. Whilst we scored goals, we sacrificed clean sheets to do so. It was a pre-season friendly against poor opposition that doesn't mean anything, so we can't take anything from the win, and we shouldn't get too beat up by the loss. It was great that we were able to get goals from talent like Hunt and Morison, but it is disappointing that our defence couldn't keep out goals from talent like Hunt and Morison.

MOTForum will go into even further meltdown with the knowledge that a team containing Taylor, Hunt, Austin, Lees and Tonge beat a team containing Silvestri, Byram, Murphy, Smith and Pearce. The only thing stopping self combustion of members is the knowledge that 'fat boy Kenny' and 'his-presence-on-the-team-affects-tactics-and-reduces-everyone-elses-impact McCormack' weren't on for the Golds.

I doubt it, we don't have an under-18s coach any more. Bromby's position was made redundant.

Correct the new coaching regime are coaching the whole squad

Fitter, quicker & better, would seem our players are hitting the target with more regularity, must be good for the future :-D
