It's pretty difficult to come up with a best lineup at present as so many of our new players are an unknown quantity. On the assumption that new senior signings are going to be mainly good enough for first team places and that we will be playing a Diamond 442 most of the time:
Silvestri
Byram
Bellusci
Pearce
Warnock
Cook
Bianchi
Mowatt
Adryan
Antenucci
Sharp
Flat 442

I guess that is a positive that we could have a first eleven that excludes some decent players. Really does depend on the players we have signed actually being decent though. Time and games needed to judge.Guildford White wrote:Poor old Sloth

I genuinely have no idea, I mean we don't really know how good Bianchi, Montenegro, Adryan, Sloth, Doukara, Benedici and Antenucci are yet.

How can anyone pick a best 11 when the majority of the squad have only played a handful of games between them?

Interesting that in a 433 you prefer Del Fabro to Pearce - any reason for that?

Re: Current best 11
Impossible to make a judgement right now even though i've attended 6 Leeds games this season
I haven't seen Del Fabro, Adryan, Montenegro play as they haven't even made their LUFC debuts yet
Only seen Bellusci & Antenucci for 90 minutes & Sloth for 80 minutes - All three impressed me
Cooper - 3 games - the lad has done well so far
Doukara - 2 games & 45 minutes - strong, robust....done well
Cook - 1 full game + sub appearances - a star in the making
Ajose - unsure if i've seen a full 90 minutes, come on as a sub & has been subbed when starting - pacy but difficult to judge right now
Benedicic - 20 minutes in two sub appearances - certainly not seen enough to make a judgement yet
So i reserve judgement on our best eleven !

Bianchi is the one new outfield signing i can make a judgement on....neat with the ball, a clever player imo

Keepers look decent, wish Silvestri would hold on to it a bit more though.1964white wrote:

If you were asking me it is due to pace, the lack of midfield cover in front of him means Pearce would get found out, Del Fabro is described elsewhere as a fast CB.

as I said, I am presuming they live up to the billing given to them, we have all seen even experienced Championship players struggle here so I see no point second guessing anyone at this point.

Re: Current best 11
I can only speak for Warnock, Silvestri, Cook and Sharp...all who I think should start for various reasons.
I would surmise Redfearn will go with players like Pearce, Warnock, Byram (when available), Sharp, and Cook all of whom he is comfortable with in their preferred positions. I think Bianchi and Bellusci have probably proved themselves enough to warrant maintaining a place in the top 11.
After that it really depends on formation and which coach we get in and when. I wouldn't imagine Adryan would start the first few games, perhaps eased in as a sub. Doukara (when fit) and Montenegro are probably going to be our main wide men if the formation requires it. If not I can see either starting up front in a 2 man attack.
Certainly more options than we have had in quite some time!

So many options. Hard to judge players I've not seen much of. That said...
SILVESTRI
BYRAM. BELLUSCI. PEARCE. WARNOCK.
COOK. AUSTIN.
SLOTH
ADRYAN. SHARP. DOUKARA.
Adryan and Doukara providing the width. Sloth breaking forward like Siggurdson does for Swansea.
Antenucci, Mowatt and Cooper rotated in too to keep it fresh...
Forgot Montenegro....options eh?!
