I never saw John Charles play, but I would have to include him by his reputation.
Toss up between Clarke and Yeboah.
Other than that, I totally agree. What an amazing squad this would be!

This ! Although I would have Sprake in goal . A great goalkeeper . And Collins and Charles would have to be on the bench . What a perfectly balanced team that was .

Those who have never seen him in action would perhaps be happy to park John Charles on the bench because you have no concept of just how good he was. It's been said before, but worth saying again..... he was world class at centre forward and centre back, not just my opinion, but the opinion of many top players and managers. Imagine having a player of that strength and quality available to you! Would be first name on my team sheet any day of the week!

Just missed out seeing the big man play :( My dad use to enthuse about JC, always insisted he was the greatest footballer he'd ever seen, his legacy still applies now. I couldn't leave him out of my team as he was world class as a centre-forward & a centre-back :tup:
