The club was once profitable and not that long ago either. The players bought arent paid for in full it gets financed through a bank. So you only need to be able to meet the payments of those loans until they are sold on.
A club that turns over the money that Leeds united do can certainly be fan owned if ita managed properly and lets be honest here the last 4 "saviours" have done more harm than good so why not put the club in the hands of the people who give a monkeys.
Cheers!

Sounds like a disaster in the making, unless they have the funds to rebuild the team.

It can mean all sorts of things apart from a majority ownership. Holding certain amount of shares may allow you to appoint a certain number of directors which can affect the control of the board. Holding a certain amount of shares may give you veto rights over certain decisions made by the board.faaip wrote:
I'm trying to work out what a controlling share would be.

it'd be okay if LFU consisted of business people with the experience and funds to run the club but I don't see any info on who they are.1964white wrote:

I have been in business/management for much of my working life & I wouldn't go down that road

If for example, Warren Buffet turns out to be a Leeds fan and the one who is going to fund LFU then that is different to the average fan being involved.

True. Hopefully - if it happens - it will be a step forward rather than backward.1964white wrote:

Can they do it on their own? I seriously doubt it. Will investors flood to the doors of Elland Road the minute Cellino and GFH are out of the door, absolutely.
