Re: Your Favourite Albums Of 2015...Thoughts Please UPDATE
Will join this when I get out of the rain in York later.
That Benjamin Clementine album I would agree is absolutely fantastic. It's so different from anything I would normally listen to but such a beautiful voice

I posted up this album in June to a light-muted response on here
My comments then :
14/6/15 - Sublime.....Album of the Year
22/7/15 - Benjamin Clementine - At Least For Now - a unique refreshing beautiful stunning soulful album - ALBUM OF THE YEAR
Innovative/soulful/beautiful & totally different to some of the dated rock albums appearing in the magazine top tens

Re: Your Favourite Albums Of 2015......
There is a disturbance in the force - balance needs to be restored...
It's been a pretty good year at Anorak towers - musically, at least.
Some cracking lie shows too - I may add an addendum on to this if I get the chance (a computer failure has left me somewhat short of t'interweb access over the last couple of weeks - now the rush is over, I should get a chance to replace the old beast.)
In no particular order...
The Aristocrats - Tres Caballeros
Fairport Convention - Myths and Heroes (their best album for years)
Gavin Harrison - Cheating the Polygraph
Katzenjammer - Rockland
Gazpacho - Molok
Richard Thompson - Still
Riverside - Love, Fear and the Time Machine
Sweet Billy Pilgrim - Motorcade Amnesiacs
Steven Wilson - Hand. Cannot. Erase.
Lonely Robot - Please Come Home
None, I believe, have been mentioned previously :-)
Honorable mentions go to :-
Brother and Bones - Brother and Bones
David Gilmour - Rattle That Lock
The Enid - The Bridge
The Fierce and the Dead - Magnet (only an EP, or it may have been in the top 10)

Re: Your Favourite Albums Of 2015....POLL IMMINENT !
A few of my favourites for 2015:
The Maccabees - Marks To Prove It
British India - Nothing Touches Me
San Cisco - Gracetown
The Wombats - Glitterbug
Chvrches - Every Open Eye
Silversun Pickups - Better Nature
Nothing But Thieves - Nothing But Thieves
Beach Slang - The Things We Do To Find People Who Feel Like Us
Bring Me The Horizon - That's The Spirit
Muse - Drones
Foals - What Went Down
Impressed with some new bands in Made Violent and Pretty Vicious. The former has an EP out, while the latter have just released some individual songs
Unfortunately not a whole heap of Aussie music captured my imagination this year. A whole lot of British music in there, I'm guessing all those years playing FIFA has influenced my musical taste
