John Sheridan a very strong favourite for the Leeds job from what I have read and the odds I found. Cannavaro, Evans, Freedman and Poyet just behind him along with Walter Zenga.

Might as well keep Evans if John Sheridan is the current top choice. NO offense to JS, really good player for us during the dark days of the 80's, but.....

Sheridan looking more and more likely judging by the odds, however, I read on twitter that Cellino reportedly said "who is he" when asked about John Sheridan, so I am not totally convinced. In other news, Gus Poyet has been announced as the new head coach of Real Betis.

I think Sunderland staying in the Prem is the best chance of us getting bridcutt for a decent fee .... This year is the year the ridiculous TV money begins so they won't be too shy of money.

Been thinking the same myself, mav; Dave is a natural DM and Cook can certainly play that role. Three similar types might be excessive if, as has been reported, we won't have a huge amount of money to spend

I would say Toumy has done as much, however much I like Bridcutt is he worth being the best paid player at the club?

I dont personally think we need two holding midfielders, certainly not at home but if it was a choice between Bridcutt and Toumy, I think its a no contest. As well as Diagouraka has done since joining, Liam is a far better all round footballer.

I've read some about him but can see nothing really special Dan, but I could easily have missed something you haven't, because I didn't even know his name until the last couple of weeks since I've been watching the last month of EPL (blame Leicester thrashing Citeh for my interest).
