Birmingham v Leeds - Team/News/Reports/Ratings
Looking forward to this one in a full Leeds end. Last season we only took about 1000 fans to St Andrews, I recall we were allowed to sit in any seat it was that sparse
I would go with the same XI that started v Sheff Wed. A real concern which may make Monk tinker with the line-up is :
Ayling and Bartley are both one yellow away from a suspension.
Jannson is two.
Its a ticking time-bomb, we could at some point have to play a game without all three.

We need Taylor back and ready, sooner rather than later.

Yes Charlie back would solve one problem, maybe two if Ayling needs to step into the middle of the defencegessa wrote:We need Taylor back and ready, sooner rather than later.

perhaps it is time to give Douks and Sacko a rest, and pop the 2 new boys on the wings....
otherwise no change

I certainly wouldn't go down that road Hectorhector wrote:perhaps it is time to give Douks and Sacko a rest, and pop the 2 new boys on the wings....

Still scratching my head why we signed them tbh. We needed players who could settle straight into the first XI

Possibly put Sacko on the bench and start Roofe, when Pedraza started v Cardiff he looked like a fish out of water so he definitely needs time to adjust and it's not easy when you need to keep momentum going.hector wrote:perhaps it is time to give Douks and Sacko a rest, and pop the 2 new boys on the wings....

Assuming Taylor is fit to play
Green
Ayling/Berardi (genuinely can't decide)
Bartley
Pontus
Taylor
Bridcutt
O'Kane
Roofe
Hernandez
Pedraza
Wood
I think that attacking 3 could work really well together.

Re: Birmingham v Leeds - Team/News/Reports/Ratings
Depends a lot on which Vieira plays as he is very inconsistent and I think Monk is using him sparingly now to try to get the best out of him and going for the more steady options in Bridcutt and O'Kane. Similar also with Doukara who has had as many awful games as good games but with us having lots of wingers it is easy enough to rotate them.faaip wrote:Our best 11 imo is this

Beradi stays left back for me, at least till we have seen taylor play 90 mins for the stiffs first.
I would be looking to rotate out a midfielder as my only change.

Every game I predict a 3 - 1 Leeds win, I am traditional like that.

I'd bring Roofe in for Sacko and also actually let him stay on for the full 90mins he needs game time to prove he can do it at this level and beyond

Ref is Chris Kavanagh who averages around 3.5 yellows a game...

Yes 103 yellows & 2 reds in 30 gamesfaaip wrote:Ref is Chris Kavanagh who averages around 3.5 yellows a game...
That spells trouble for Ayling, Bartley & Pontus

Re: Birmingham v Leeds - Team/News/Reports/Ratings
Will be at St Andrews for this one. Think its going to tougher game now Blues have got a good win at Wolves last Friday.
They have some decent players especially likes of Davis in midfield.
Personally and this may be controversial, I would not start with Pablo in this match. We have to win the battle in midfield first and foremost in away games like this. He struggles in this type of fixture therefore I would prefer it if we put in an extra midfielder such as Vieira to go alongside Bridcutt and O'Kane. We need to be as solid as possible and that trio should give us that. Pablo would then be a great weapon off the bench.
I wouldnt start Sacko either. He is offering nothing right now. Give Barrow a start and lets see if he's got more to he's game than just pace unlike Haddi at the moment.

Good points there Gurj, couldn't disagree I reckon GM will not change his eleven though and he may make only one change if any.

I'm with Gurj on Pablo (likely to be a passenger) and Mav on CT, needs a full 90 before thrown back into first team. When fit, he goes LB, Berardi reverts to RB and Ayling rested/in reserve to cover the almost inevitable loss of Bartley and/or Pontus
