Therefore Thomas is his Christian name, Christiansen is his father's surname, and Tarin is his mother's maiden name. Just call him TC.
Thanks for the explanation Gandi (guess the club gets its info from Wiki),

Calling him TC is good advice, as I'd probably spell Christiansen wrong half the time

I'm turning into a bit of a negative so and so about next season (which is generally unlike me) but I thought that was pretty underwhelming, would have like it to be much more about building on last season, filling some of the gaps that were identified with us falling away and generally keeping the momentum rolling - feels like we are right back to square one with a new project.

Part of his interview/job application involved him talking about our weaknesses last year and ways to improve that and the players. Certainly would suggest evolution rather than revolution with us largely having the same group of players but playing a more attractive possession based way.

TBF most pressers are boring and full of cliques, managers saying what they've been told to say, what the powers to be tell them what the fans want to hear. Even though this was still a bore fest it did seem genuine, well as genuine as they get.
The hierarchy have now got to deliver on the team building, not squad, team, the squad is decent the first 11 needs improvement.

Phil Hay:
TC: Said that when he met Radrizzani, he tried to make it clear that he "knew where I was going and what I was going to do." #lufc
TC: I'm in a big club with ambition. I've followed the English leagues since I was a boy. I know how they play and how they've advanced.
TC: I believe that we can do good things here. I believe in my abilities. This is why I'm here. Leeds also believe in my abilities.
TC: Last year they finished seventh. I'm hoping to do better.
Victor Orta: "We put in a list the things we want from a head coach. Thomas feels like this is the opportunity, not an opportunity.
Orta: "He the right person at this moment for this club." Kinnear: "We feel we've got a man who can work with us day by day." #lufc
Orta said the club had "a lot of interviews" with other coaches. "It was out obligation.
TC: I have a style but I can be adaptable depending on players and the league. I've done it in my previous jobs
Orta: Pep Clotet and the rest of Garry Monk's backroom team are leaving the club. #luf
Christiansen's assistant will be Julio Banuelos, who was his assistant at APOEL and AEK Larnaca. #lufc
Orta indicated that he expects Monk's staff (Clotet, Beattie, Flahavan) to follow Monk to Middlesbrough. #lufc
Orta says new players will be coming "but within our budget". Says his task is to find players who want to be here, " and not for money".
TC on his style: I have to be flexible. Played 4-3-3 at Larnaca and wanted to do the same at APOEL but squad wasn't right for it. #lufc
TC: At the moment, not targeting any players he's worked with before.
TC: I don't have the same name as some coaches who were named. But I really want to be here and I believe in myself.
TC: With my previous teams, I made history with both. I got the most out of my players. #lufc
TC: I played in Europe with APOEL. We had a historic season. Being in England has always been a dream for me
Orta: On transfers, the head coach will always have the last word. It's stupid if he doesn't. It's one of the things we discussed.
Orta on whether the likes of Wood will stay: "I hope but in football no-one can say 100%. I read that Chris is happy with the manager."
Two other coaching additions - Ivan Torres as fitness coach, and Marcos Abad as goalkeeping coach
Abad was at Boro while Orta was head of recruitment there

Joe Rawson:
New #lufc Head Coach Thomas Christiansen on the Whites "It's a big club with ambition. A big club who deserve to be in the PL
Christiansen says he believes in his abilities and says he can do big things. #lufc also believe in him he says
Victor Orta says Christiansen is the right person at the moment for #lufc "he can work with us day by day"
Orta says that #lufc interviewed a lot of other coaches
Leeds United confirm that Pep Clotet and the rest of Monks backroom team are leaving the club #lufc
Julio Banuelos will be Thomas Christiansen's assistant head coach, he worked with him at Apoel #lufc
On new players Victor Orta says #lufc will have to work within a strict budget but new faces will be coming in who want to be at the club

Adam Pope/West Yorkshire Sport
Christiansen: "I'm excited and believe we can do good things here."
Christiansen: "Leeds finished 7th last year, and we want to do better this year.
Christiansen: "I'm very flexible, I have my ideas of how I want to play but I'm happy to adapt.
Victor Orta confirms that all of Garry Monk's backroom staff have left the club #LUFC.
Thomas Christiansen's assistant will be Julio Banuelos, he was his assistant at APOEL #LUFC
Victor Orta says signings will be on the way. Thomas Christiansen says he inherits a "good squad
Christianson: "With my previous teams I made history with both. I got the most out of my players".
Christiansen's backroom staff include asst Julio Banuelos, fitness coach Ivan Torres & Marcos Abad ex Middlesbrough goalkeeping coach. #lufc
Orta on Chris Wood: "I hope he stays, but in football no one can say.

Was on holiday when this happened, we all know this is a risky appointment but Thomas has to be given time. This will either be a major success or failure imo.
His managerial career is encouraging so far albeit in Cyprus, the big question is can he adapt to the Championship?
I have been very impressed by Thomas so far in his interviews, he's not talking about what he is going to do he is talking about how he is going to do it.
Very encouraging to hear that he is Cruyff desciple can't think of one manager who has worked with Cruyff and not been a success, I would expect 4-3-3/4-4-2 next season and potentially Tikki Takka football. Doubt we will be playing 4-2-3-1 again.

With the current squad I would expect something along the lines of (take with a pinch of salt as I am confident more signings are on the way)
--------------------------------------- Green--------------------------------------------

Ayling---------------------?----------------------Jansson-----------------Berardi

---------------------------------Bridcutt/Vieira---------------------------------------

-----------------------Klich------------O'Kane/Hernandez/Murphy/Phillips---

Doukara-----------------------------Wood-------------------------------Roofe

Or 4-4-2
--------------------------------------Green----------------------------------------

Ayling-------------------------?------------------Jansson---------------Berardi

Sacko-----Bridcutt/Vieira/O'Kane----------Klich-----------------Doukara

----------------------------------Wood--------------Roofe-------------------------------
