Hull were poor we were in control but not particularly great ourselves.

Looked tired to me and Saiz get a 1 rating for diving when he could have stayed on his feet and had a shot.

1 shot on target 1 goal tells the story.

Fresh legs needed for Brentford imo.

agree hull was absolutely dire. harrison and alioski were poor again tonight. sooner hernandez and roofe back the better. a poor second half from us if im honest apart from the goal.

I guess that’s the problem with a squad our size. Forshaw didn’t do enough when he came on for a starting spot for me. Maybe Baker could start but really our squad rotation players seem to be starters at the moment because of injuries. Don’t see that he has too many options. Think he’ll go with same XI on Sat with a view to players coming back after break.

Just made a thread about this sort of actually :)

Bielsa likes a tight squad and his selections are very consistent apparently.

Bit concerned by this, given how stubborn he famously is.

He has unwavering faith in his style and team.

Just hope he is willing to make changes if and when.

Forshaw wasnt great i agree.

Clarke, Baker, Pearce, Shacks etc, he could change it if he wanted, depends how brave he wants to be i suppose.

Thought we looked tired tbh.

Thanks for the commentaries folks - appreciated as always.
Sounds like we are still a little lethargic or underwhelming but I'll take the 3 points thanks.
All teams go through these spells I suppose but the main thing is those 3 beautiful points.

Not vintage Leeds tonight, but I said after the wendies, we'd play much worse and win, as was the case. Given how poor Hull were, these kind of games are a must win. Still wasting big chances, Alioski and Douglas should have scored first half. I don't see why Roberts isn't more confident, all his three goals have been excellent finishes. I'd like to see some changes for Saturday. We looked at about 60% today, I know we didn't need to get out of first gear, but still we needed to freshen it up.

Jansson motm for me - absolute colossus again.

Quick highlights: and in defence of Alioski.
1 Lovely lay off for Klich to have a shot on goal
2 Runs on to a flick on by Roberts and shaves the outside post
3 Cuts it across the 6 yard box for Douglas
Boy done good.

We weren't spectacular last night, no where near our best, Hull were very poor, clearly see why they are were they are.

But,, some of our passing play, getting out of trouble in our own box and was a joy to watch. Literally think wow we looked great in spells. Jansson was fantastic, Ayling and Phillips had great games too.

Yes, we were not as good as we were on Friday, nowhere near however the extra 2 points are gratefully banked. Yes, Hull were poor, very likely to be relegation contenders.
Yes, likes of Alisoki (ongoing) and Harrison ( were very frustrating as hell ) as neither winger appears as if they can beat a man.

BUT, lets get real for a minute - when was the last time you can recall a Leeds side, in recent memory, take total control of away games in this manner. So many trips down the years in Codland, whether they were good or bad Hull sides and we have generally struggled terribly.

This is the best LUFC side we have had for many years thanks to the coaching skills of Bielsa and I for one feel if we dont go up this season, we never will !
In January, we must show intent to strengthen, Radz must show ambition, as we will hopefully just need a couple of players of real quality to give us the final push down the home stretch. Thats how close we should be this season to the promised land of the Premier League. Now or Never Leeds United, Now or never !

Klich played a short pass to Roberts who made the goal out of nothing to be fair

Ayling improved as the game went on but I lost count how many times both Ayling & Harrison lost possession down the right. Ayling's first six passes were woeful
