And what if we spend 10m and don't go up...does that 10 M guarantee promotion?

Re: January Transfer Rumours And Squad Discussion
With Saiz probably going for £6mil in the summer thats a net spend of £4mil, will that break the bank?
Besides Radz will sell players in the summer of we dont go up, Jansson, Roofe, Philips, Clarke, Klich.
Somebody will be sold, maybe more then 1, thats just how Radz is, he has already said that "1 or 2 players need to be sold every year".
I dont agree with him but whether we spend or not if we dont go up we will lose key players.
Rather see us try and take advantage of our position and add some extra quality.
Besides Bielsa wants 2 players minimum, but they have to be better then those he lost (Saiz and Blackman). That costs, or you do it on the cheap and loan.

Well we definitely need replacements for Saiz and Blackman.
Gk - Heaton, Forster or Darlow on loan.
Winger - Harrison not good enough, plus we can't keep relying on Clarke. Gomez would be class or Manu Vallejo from Cadiz.
CM - think we need one that will chip in with goals, as Klich has dried up and Phillips and Forshaw don't contribute. Leroy Fer is ooc in the summer, could be available for cut price.
CB - we need one as Jansson will probably get injured soon. Huth on a pay as you play deal.

Thing is, we know Klich is capable of scoring goals. He's out of form, not in need of replacing. Klich thrived early on in the system/position he was in, but we've not had that set up for a long time. Once the starting 11 is back up to strength, with Phillips back as holding mid and Forshaw/Klich freed up to get forward, I think we'll see more.SG90 wrote: ↑Sat Dec 29, 2018 5:28 pm Well we definitely need replacements for Saiz and Blackman.

We need a keeper and we need an attacking mid - replacements for Blackman and Saiz and that's probably all we'll get. Can't say I know much about those two wingers you've mentioned tbh. Gomez has played with Bielsa before, so at least he's know what he was getting himself in for!
I know we've been linked with Bowen, but I can't see divisional rivals doing us a favour without having to break the bank!

i would enquire about danny drinkwater . don't get a look in at chelsea these days a proven premiership player who knows this league inside out . a short loan would benefit all parties .

I think you're always looking to improve every postion on the pitch.
But only with signings not loans, unless it's a loan to buy option.

Not saying Klich needs replacing, but he could do with a few games rest to get back to his best. He looks a shadow of the player he was in the first couple of months of the season. The goal against the wendies wouldn't happen now, as he wouldn't bother to shoot!Genghers wrote: ↑Sun Dec 30, 2018 9:25 am Thing is, we know Klich is capable of scoring goals. Nothing wrong with Forshaw's ability at this level. I don't think it's an area we need to focus our limited resources on is all.leic white 63 wrote: ↑Sun Dec 30, 2018 10:53 am he be better than forshaw .
just an example though of the calibre we should be looking at to improve our cause .
Keeper us a must and a (preferably long term) Saiz replacement would be big.
Don't think we need a CB unless we get someone (e.g. Huth) on a pay-as-you-play contract. Cooper will be back shortly and Berardi due sometime in Jan.
I think one of the problems were seeing with the players coming back after injury is them taking a little while to get back to speed... which makes sense given the way we play now and that they had all had an intense pre-season to get fully fit. Not many reserve games around Christmas, so A fling has come back quickly as a necessity I feel.

Reports in Spain saying Gomez is in talks with Bilbao over a €3m move. Surely we can match that? Bilbao are in danger of relegation this season, so if he's happy to go there, I don't see why we couldn't tempt him.

Would Mignolet be an option for a loan move? He is desperate to be starting games for a team and may see Leeds as a good chance to put himself in the shop window; or alternatively a long term move to be starting for a premier League team in the future

Our bosses were saying similar lines in the summer then they brought in Baker, Harrison & Blackmandezzy wrote: ↑Fri Dec 28, 2018 7:56 pm Club has stated it is looking to add players who will make an immediate impact, but fall into our wage structure, there’s too much hot air being spoutted in the papers and online to be able to make any judgement on what will happen, I think two, quality players will come in, three if Baker goes elsewhere.

Isn't Mignolet a bit of a calamity jane keeper ?

I'm going to be surprised if we're not starting a new keeper in February.

Cheers mate.
Yeah true and his distribution is crap. Very good reactions and a good shot stopper though.
Fraser Forster at Southampton would be better although he hasn't played for them in a year since he got dropped. A regular run may be what he needs to get his confidence back. His kicking is pretty poor but he is an amazing shot stopper and commands his box.

Need Cooper back alongside Pontus with Phillips playing Forshaw's current role

Problem is finding a keeper who won't make similar errors as our young inexperienced keeperNovaScotiaWhite wrote: ↑Sun Dec 30, 2018 12:53 pm Cheers mate.

We have a habit of signing liability goalies
